Graduating from Bac Ninh Pedagogical College in 2008, teacher Thu decided to work in her hometown of Duong Hoa. Working in Duong Hoa means accepting deprivation, being far from the center, and having difficult living conditions, but for teacher Thu, being able to teach in the land where she grew up is her greatest pride.
In her first years of work, Ms. Thu taught at Bay Cua school of Duong Hoa Primary School, one of the most remote and difficult schools. The road to class was full of rocks and dirt, slippery on rainy days, and dusty on sunny days. There were days when her motorbike flipped over in the middle of the muddy road, but just thinking about the students waiting, Ms. Thu would strongly stand up, brush off the mud, and continue on her way. Seeing the smiles and clear eyes of her students made all her fatigue disappear.
Having gone through many schools and classes, teacher Thu has been with students from grade 1 and followed them all the way to grade 5. Each generation of students growing up is a milestone in her career journey.

Among the stories that teacher Thu remembers forever, perhaps the most touching is the journey with Chiu Thi Thu Duyen, a student with special circumstances. Her father died early, her mother worked far away, Chiu Thi Thu Duyen lived with her elderly grandmother. The lack of affection made Duyen shy, often absent from school. Not wanting to let her fall behind, teacher Thu persistently went to Duyen's house to pick her up every morning, holding her hand to go to class. At noon, the two teachers and students ate lunch together at school, simple meals, but extremely warm. Thanks to that love, the shy little Chiu Thi Thu Duyen gradually became confident, obedient and made remarkable progress.
Not only with Duyen, Ms. Thu also left a mark on the journey of Chiu Gi Linh, a student who wanted to quit school because of the family burden. Her parents did not live together, Linh had to take care of her two younger brothers so she decided to drop out of school. Ms. Thu was always by her side, encouraging her and asking the school to let her continue to go to class. Thanks to that love, Linh overcame the most difficult days. Now, she has grown up, has a happy home, and every time she recalls it, Ms. Thu still gets emotional.
For many ethnic minority students, teacher Thu is a teacher, a sister, and a friend. She understands the psychological characteristics, lifestyle, and barriers of students in mountainous areas, so she always finds ways to make them more interested in learning. In teacher Thu's class, games and vivid visual group activities are always emphasized. She has researched and implemented many initiatives with remarkable results, such as innovating teaching methods to develop descriptive writing skills, guiding students to perform well the 4 operations with decimals, or organizing math games. These initiatives are recognized and widely applied throughout the school and locality.
Thanks to these innovations, the teaching quality of Ms. Thu has exceeded the target every year, the homeroom class has always achieved the title of excellent advanced class, the number of students receiving awards is high, many students have won prizes in exchange competitions at school, district, and even provincial levels. The achievements of students in competitions in Math, Vietnamese, English, calligraphy, storytelling of Uncle Ho... always have the silent contribution of Ms. Thu in both the roles of homeroom teacher and subject teacher.

In addition to her professional work, Ms. Thu is also the Head of the Professional Group, always exemplary in all activities, actively participating in Party work, social movements, charity, and contributing to the community. For many years, she has achieved the title of grassroots emulation fighter, received a certificate of merit from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, a certificate of merit from the District People's Committee and organizations. In particular, in 2025, Ms. Thu was honored to receive a certificate of merit from the Prime Minister, a certificate of merit from the Ministry of Education and Training, and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union for her outstanding achievements in the career of nurturing and educating the young generation.
