Flood on Cai Phan Rang River above alert level 3, mobilizing water commandos and navy to participate in rescue

In the past 12 hours, the flood on Cai Phan Rang River has risen above the warning level 3 and is forecast to continue rising. Currently, armed forces have been mobilized to key points.

On the morning of November 20, Khanh Hoa Province's Hydrometeorological Station issued an urgent flood warning on Cai Phan Rang River.

Khanh Hoa Province Hydrometeorological Station said that in the past 12 hours, the flood on Cai Phan Rang River has peaked, above alert level 3. It is forecasted that in the next 24 hours, the flood on Cai Phan Rang River at Tan My station will continue to rise, with the flood peak above alert level 3 from 2.5 to 3.5 meters.

Warning: Low-lying areas may be flooded over 3.5m deep, including communes and wards: Do Vinh, Bao An, Phan Rang, Phuoc Dinh, Dong Hai...

On the night of November 19, in Khanh Hoa province, there continued to be heavy to very heavy rain in many localities such as Nha Trang city (old), Dien Dien commune, Dien An commune, Cam Lam commune, Suoi Dau commune, Khanh Vinh commune... causing floodwaters to continue to rise. Right in the night, leaders of Khanh Hoa province from the Provincial Party Secretary, Permanent Deputy Secretary to the Chairman, Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Committee were present at key points to direct response and rescue work.

On the night of November 19, hundreds of officers and soldiers of the Naval Region 4 Command supported rescue work in Cam Lam commune, Suoi Dau commune, and Dien Dien commune.

In addition, also on the night of November 19, at the request of the Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee to respond to heavy rain and rising water, the 5th Water Special Forces Brigade (Special Forces Corps) mobilized elite special forces to support the locality.

The 5th Water Commando Brigade mobilized nearly 100 officers and soldiers; 5 Kamaz vehicles, 4 boats and specialized rescue equipment, and traveled more than 100km from the station to the rescue site to support flooded people.

At 11:00 p.m. on November 19, special water forces arrived at the scene in Dien Khanh commune (Khanh Hoa province) to support and rescue people isolated in the flood area.
