Finishing touches
The exhibition “Cultural heritage, scenic spots of Vietnam and traditional handicraft products in 2025” will take place from November 21 to 24 at the Hai Phong City Culture, Cinema and Exhibition Center. This is an activity organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Hai Phong City People's Committee in coordination with the Vietnam Culture and Arts Exhibition Center and related units, on the occasion of Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day, November 23.
According to representatives of the implementing units, by November 19, about 80% of the preparatory work had been completed. The exhibition areas, technical infrastructure, billboard systems, lighting, security and plans to welcome delegations from provinces and cities are being reviewed for the last time.

Deputy Head of the Exhibition and Propaganda Department (Museum of Cultures of Vietnam's Ethnic Groups) Nguyen Minh Bac said that the unit has coordinated with the Vietnam Exhibition Center for Culture and Arts to carry out preparation work for nearly a month.
“We want to bring to the exhibition a space to introduce and promote the culture of Vietnamese ethnic groups. The exhibition content introduces the heritage system and traditional crafts typical of regions across the country, from the Northern Delta, valleys, highlands to the Central, Central Highlands and the South. This is an opportunity for Hai Phong people to access more cultural colors typical of the community of 54 ethnic groups…”, Mr. Bac said.

Mr. Bac also said that in the Central region, the exhibition will introduce cultural heritages recognized by UNESCO; in the Central Highlands, the gong festival of the ethnic people and the traditional weaving craft will be recreated; and in the Southern region, the space of traditional music and the life of the river people will be introduced. Models, artifacts, costumes and images are selected to clearly depict the heritage and indigenous culture, helping the public have a visual and vivid experience.
In terms of organizational coordination, Deputy Director of the Hai Phong Center for Culture, Cinema and Exhibition Le Van Luong said that the unit had proactively developed a plan very early, made detailed plans for each item and closely coordinated with the Vietnam Center for Cultural and Art Exhibition to contact provinces and cities. "Up to now, the facilities and basic space have been completed. We hope to create the best conditions for participating units, so that this is truly a gift to the people and tourists coming to Hai Phong", Mr. Luong emphasized.

A colorful space of heritage and traditional art
This year's exhibition is considered to be large-scale and rich in content, aiming to promote heritage values, scenic spots, and at the same time honor traditional crafts of localities across the country.

At the general exhibition area, the Organizing Committee introduced a system of documents, artifacts and 300 art photos about Vietnam's cultural heritage: from images showing President Ho Chi Minh's concern for the preservation of national heritage, the photo series "Vietnam - Country of Heritage" to the theme "Colorful Space of Vietnam's Intangible Cultural Heritage".
Many thematic exhibition clusters promise to attract the public such as: Vietnamese calligraphy art past and present, Ao Dai space with the theme "Vietnamese Ao Dai in national cultural heritage", or exhibition - performance of light sculpture art with the collection "Thien Ma - Vien Man Dai Thanh", marking the year 2026 - the year of Binh Ngo.

The exhibition spaces of the localities including Dien Bien, Phu Tho, Quang Ninh, Ninh Binh, Thua Thien Hue, Da Nang and Hai Phong will bring images of heritage, famous landscapes and typical products: from natural landscapes, historical relics, traditional festivals to regional crafts and culinary culture. Thereby, each province and city has the opportunity to promote the potential of eco-tourism, sustainable tourism as well as connect and promote tourism.
Throughout the 4 days of the exhibition, there will be a series of art exchange programs honoring intangible cultural heritage: "Shining colors", "My homeland Vietnam", a program introducing the cultural space of Northern communal houses; and a Festival of traditional folk art clubs with unique genres such as Xam, Ca Tru, Chau Van, Quan Ho, Hat Xoan, Trong Quan, Vi - Giam, Bai Choi, Ca Hue, Tay Nguyen gongs, Don Ca Tai Tu...
