Flood warning on Ba River in Dak Lak exceeds historical flood level of 1993 by 5.21m

The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting forecasts an emergency flood (especially large) on the Ba River in Dak Lak, an emergency flood on the Kon River (Gia Lai), on the Thu Bon River ( Da Nang ), the Tra Khuc River (Quang Ngai) and the Krong Ana River (Dak Lak).

In the next 10 hours, flood on Ba River at Phu Lam station will continue to rise and be above alarm level 3 - exceeding the historical flood level in 1993 by 5.21m; flood on Kon River will continue to rise and be above alarm level 3; flood on Krong Ana River will continue to rise and be above alarm level 2; flood on Tra Khuc River and Thu Bon River will fluctuate above alarm level 2.

In the next 10 - 24 hours, floods on Kon River and Ba River will fluctuate at very high levels and above alert level 3; Krong Ana River will continue to rise and be above alert level 2; floods on Thu Bon River and Tra Khuc River will gradually decrease and be below alert level 1 to above alert level 1.

Warning: In the next 24 hours, floods on Huong River, Bo River, Vu Gia River, Srepok River will fluctuate at alert level 1 - alert level 2 and above alert level 2; other rivers in Dak Lak and Khanh Hoa will continue to rise and at alert level 2 - alert level 3, some rivers above alert level 3.

Widespread flooding occurred in provinces/cities from Hue city to Khanh Hoa. There is a high risk of flash floods on rivers and streams and landslides on slopes in provinces/cities from Hue city to Khanh Hoa.

On land, on the night of November 19, cold air continued to affect other places in the South Central region. On land, strong northeast winds of level 3 - 4, coastal areas strong winds of level 4 - 5, in some places level 6, gusting to level 7.

Affected by the cold air, the temperature in the Northern region ranges from 11 - 14 degrees Celsius, in mountainous areas below 5 degrees Celsius; North Central region 12 - 15 degrees Celsius; Quang Tri and Hue city 16 - 19 degrees Celsius.

In Hanoi area, it is not raining but cold. The lowest temperature is commonly 12 - 14 degrees Celsius, the highest is 19 - 21 degrees Celsius. Northeast wind level 2 - 3.
