First time organizing the novel contest 'Digital Literature'

The 'Digital Literature' novel contest launched by BOOKAS marks the beginning of an effort to bring Vietnamese literature deeper into the digital publishing environment.

Entries are judged on four criteria: Creativity, Art, Ideological Value and Spreadability. Readers’ views, likes, comments and shares are all recorded to calculate points, in addition to the evaluation from the Jury. Authors can submit novels, novels or short story collections with themes of realism, romance or detective - fantasy - experimental.

The contest's jury includes writers Vo Thi Xuan Ha (Head of the panel), Nguyen Dinh Tu (Deputy Head of the panel) and Tong Phuoc Bao (member). According to writer Nguyen Dinh Tu, the contest clearly reflects the current publishing trend with new forms such as digital books, audio books and new income models for writers.

Mr. Nguyen Anh Dung, Founder and Chairman of BOOKAS, said that the contest is designed to create opportunities for Vietnamese authors to access technology. Writers will be supported by the system throughout, from posting manuscripts, monitoring the effectiveness of their works to managing data. Authors who are not familiar with using technology can send paper manuscripts or soft files for the organizers to support posting.

The contest will run from November 2025 to June 15, 2026, completely free of charge in all stages, creating conditions for all Vietnamese citizens to create and spread works on digital platforms without any costs. With a total prize value of up to 500 million VND for three groups of prizes: Creativity, Integration and Love.
