On November 20, the Hanoi Association of Fine Arts Photography in collaboration with the Center for Culture, Information and Sports of Hoan Kiem Ward organized the opening of the photo exhibition "Women in Life" at the Hang Trong flower garden (42 Nha Chung Street, Hoan Kiem Ward, Hanoi). The exhibition introduced 68 works by 46 female photographers who are members of the Hanoi Association of Fine Arts Photography.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, photographer Nguyen Xuan Chinh, Vice President of the Hanoi Art Photography Association, emphasized that art photography is a job that requires the photographer to have good health, time, money, and a spirit of staying close to reality, and to travel frequently. For women, these challenges are even greater. Besides their passion, they have to balance their lives to fulfill their role as "keepers of the family fire". "It can be said that it is difficult for men to pursue art photography, but it is even more difficult for women," said photographer Nguyen Xuan Chinh.
However, the number of female photographers is increasing and affirming their position in the field of art. Currently, the Hanoi Art Photography Association has more than 400 members, of which nearly 50 are women - the highest proportion of female members among the 34 provinces and cities that have organized the association. According to photographer Nguyen Xuan Chinh, when they devote themselves to art, female photographers are not inferior to men in terms of creative achievements. Many female authors regularly appear in the list of high-prize winners in domestic and international photo contests.

“The exhibition aims to create a separate playground, at the same time creating conditions for female photographers to exchange and introduce their works to the public. Through 68 works on display, viewers can feel a vivid and multi-dimensional picture of the lives of Vietnamese women. Each photo is a deeply humane story, a message about the strength, love and true value of women,” the Vice President of the Hanoi Art Photography Association emphasized.
With their distinctive sensitivity and soft perspective, female photographers prioritize exploiting the topic of women, integrating them into vivid moments of the frame, thereby contributing to portraying the simple yet powerful beauty of Vietnamese women; reflecting their persistent, quiet contributions to the community; at the same time spreading the spirit of humanity, sacrifice, creativity and dedication.

At the opening ceremony, Director of the Hoan Kiem Ward Culture, Information and Sports Center Tran Thi Thuy Lan affirmed that the exhibition has special significance in honoring the role of women in the family, community and society, affirming the silent but important contributions of women.
According to Ms. Tran Thi Thuy Lan, as a grassroots cultural institution, the Hoan Kiem Ward Culture, Information and Sports Center always strives to carry out activities to spread good values in the community, of which this exhibition is one of the typical activities, contributing to enriching the spiritual life of people and tourists.
The exhibition "Women in Life" runs until November 24.
