610th Infantry Battalion: Compete in skillful mass mobilization

In recent times, Infantry Battalion 610 (Infantry Regiment 896, Provincial Military Command) has always considered mass mobilization work as a key task closely linked with the emulation movement "Skilled mass mobilization", building "Good mass mobilization unit". With specific and practical actions, the unit has built a politically strong locality, further enhancing the image of "Uncle Ho's soldiers" in the hearts of the people.

Closely connected with the people

Having the opportunity to accompany the officers and soldiers of Infantry Battalion 610 on a field trip to Phuoc Hau commune, we clearly felt the spirit of "Serving the people" of the officers and soldiers, as well as the affection and close attachment between the army and the people. In just 6 days, the officers and soldiers of the unit organized many practical activities such as: Cleaning the area of ​​​​the People's Committee headquarters of Phuoc Vinh commune (old); beautifying the landscape, planting flowers in the area inside and around the Martyrs' Memorial of Phuoc Vinh commune (old); clearing nearly 500m of inter-village and inter-commune roads; repairing houses for 2 policy households and poor households; visiting and giving gifts to 8 policy families and people with meritorious services to the revolution in the commune.

During this mass mobilization campaign, the unit also promoted the integration of propaganda and mobilized people to comply with the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws and policies. In particular, the unit's officers and soldiers organized concentrated legal propaganda, with hundreds of people participating; distributed leaflets to propagate the law to nearly 600 people in the villages of Lien Son 1, Lien Son 2 and Phuoc An 1, Phuoc An 2; coordinated with the Youth Union, Women's Union, and Phuoc Hau Commune Military Command to organize cultural exchanges, integrating legal propaganda skits that attracted a large number of people to participate... The specific activities in the recent field trip are regular annual activities of the 610th Infantry Battalion in the emulation movement "Skilled mass mobilization", building a "Good mass mobilization unit" over the past many years.

Over the past 5 years, the unit's officers and soldiers have participated in more than 2,000 working days to help localities build infrastructure and produce labor; participated in pouring more than 2.5km of concrete roads and renovating, repairing, and clearing more than 11km of inter-village and inter-commune roads; helped people dredge more than 10km of canals and ditches in the fields, leveled 200m³ of land to create a flat surface for road construction, repaired 2 houses for poor people; planted 100 flowers at Do Vinh Primary School; renewed 40 flagpoles along inter-village roads; participated in building a new rural flower road, with a length of more than 4km in Ninh Hai and Ninh Phuoc communes...

From there, the unit regularly organizes to thoroughly disseminate the purpose and meaning of the movement to all officers and soldiers in the unit; the emulation activities "Skilled in Mass Mobilization" and building "Good Mass Mobilization Units" are organized closely and continuously, ensuring practical effectiveness and strong spreading power associated with implementing the emulation movement Determined to Win, movements and campaigns launched by the Party, State, Fatherland Front, army, units and localities. At the same time, proactively coordinate closely with the Party committees and local authorities where the unit is stationed, the twinned units, the assigned areas for mass mobilization work and the localities where the unit trains and exercises to learn and exchange information. Over the past 5 years, the battalion and the regimental agency have organized visits and presented 80 gifts to policy families, meritorious people, and poor households in the area on holidays and Tet; supported the Funds "For the poor", "Repaying gratitude", "Eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses", "Rice jars for the poor" with a total amount of more than 370 million VND. Along with that, the unit has effectively implemented the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws on ethnic and religious affairs and mass mobilization work, mobilizing people in ethnic and religious areas; stepped up propaganda and mobilizing people to eliminate backward customs and practices, and build a new cultural lifestyle...

From simple working days to meaningful gifts, from activities to help people develop the economy to building a new cultural lifestyle..., the mass mobilization work of Infantry Battalion 610 has made an important contribution to strengthening people's trust and building a politically strong locality.
