Over the past century, the Vietnam University of Fine Arts has become the cradle of many generations of painters, sculptors, and art teachers who have contributed to the creation of the modern Vietnamese fine arts. Since its inception, the fine arts training programs have been quite comprehensive, from Western academic art subjects to cultural and interdisciplinary subjects such as art history training, craft training, ceramics training, and architectural training.

At the same time, with the establishment of the school, unique materials of Vietnamese fine arts were also formed. Besides oil painting materials imported from the West, traditional materials such as silk paintings and lacquer paintings were revived, becoming unique materials, with distinctive shapes for modern Vietnamese fine arts on the world art map.

Speaking at the ceremony, comrade Ta Quang Dong, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, highly appreciated the important contributions of the school in the formation and development of modern fine arts. “We believe that, with 100 years of experience, professional qualifications and efforts of generations of teachers and students, the Vietnam University of Fine Arts will continue to develop, maintaining its position as a prestigious art training center, harmoniously combining tradition and modernity, integration and creativity”, comrade Ta Quang Dong expressed.

At the same time, the Board of Directors affirmed that the school always aims for core values ​​of creativity, humanity and community service. In addition to preserving traditional quintessence, the school constantly innovates training programs, promotes the application of digital technology and contemporary art practice methods, helping students grasp new trends while still preserving the identity of Vietnamese fine arts.

Also on this occasion, Vietnam University of Fine Arts was honored to receive the Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister and the Certificate of Merit from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism for the achievements of the school and its specialized faculties.

With a long and glorious history, the Vietnam University of Fine Arts has built a solid foundation for modern fine arts, becoming a place to train thousands of talented painters, sculptors and designers. Many generations of artists who have grown up from this school have become art icons, with their works displayed in museums at home and abroad, contributing to affirming the position of Vietnamese fine arts on the world art map.
