The hypothetical situation simulates a series of traffic accidents on Hoang Sa Street, near the Observatory towards Linh Ung Pagoda. A pickup truck collided with two motorbikes going in the opposite direction, causing the two motorcyclists to be thrown down the mountainside and seriously injured. The vehicles were completely deformed, with a high risk of fuel leaking and causing fire or explosion.
Upon receiving the news, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police mobilized dozens of officers, soldiers and 4 fire trucks to the scene.
After blocking off the accident area, officers and soldiers deployed a plan to approach the slope, using ropes, pulleys and specialized equipment to get the victim out of the dense vegetation and dangerous terrain.
Although the drill took place in rainy and windy weather conditions, slippery roads and limited visibility, the officers and soldiers still tried to adapt, persistently stuck to the terrain, and coordinated smoothly to complete the assigned tasks; demonstrating the officers and soldiers' ability to respond flexibly in real-life situations that often occur unexpectedly and harshly.
Son Tra Peninsula has a rugged terrain, many steep roads, sharp turns, and many accidents have occurred, causing vehicles and people to fall into deep abysses. Therefore, the drill is an important opportunity for officers and soldiers of the Fire Prevention and Fighting Police, and rescuers to practice their skills in complex conditions; improve coordination, and ensure the most effective rescue when an incident occurs.
