Dutch businesses explore investment opportunities in Chu Lai

Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Tran Nam Hung said that in the approved planning of Da Nang city for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, the city's leaders oriented to form a synchronous and modern economic ecosystem and Chu Lai airport urban area, developing according to the airport urban model.

The airport urban area will exploit urban space associated with the airport and aviation services; at the same time closely linked with the Chu Lai Open Economic Zone and the coastal development corridor from Da Nang to Quang Ngai.

Also according to the planning for the 2021-2030 period, Chu Lai Airport is a 4F international airport, with an expected design capacity of 10 million passengers/year; the planned land area for development until 2030 is more than 2,006 hectares with an estimated investment cost of nearly 16,000 billion VND...

In addition, the city aims to form an international freight logistics center by 2050; the expected design capacity is 30 million passengers/year, with an estimated investment cost according to the plan of up to 37,950 billion VND.

The city is currently promoting investment and calling for investors to exploit Chu Lai Airport according to the planning to form an economic ecosystem and airport urban area. The city leaders committed to providing maximum support in terms of planning, traffic infrastructure and investment procedures to create favorable conditions for investors.

During the field trip, representatives of Dutch enterprises highly appreciated the development orientation, planning and location of Chu Lai Airport; shared their interest in the transport infrastructure connecting to this airport such as: North-South high-speed railway, Da Nang urban railway system, etc.
