Free admission to Hoi An ancient town on December 4

DNO - Tourists will be exempted from entrance fees to Hoi An ancient town on December 4 on the occasion of the 26th anniversary of Hoi An ancient town being recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage (December 4, 1999 - December 4, 2025).

Free admission to Hoi An ancient town on December 4 is an activity that has been maintained by the local government for many years, to show gratitude to tourists as well as to celebrate the day Hoi An ancient town was recognized as a World Cultural Heritage.

In addition, many activities will be held to celebrate Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day (November 23), 26 years since Hoi An ancient town and My Son temple complex were recognized by UNESCO as World Cultural Heritage, and 8 years since the art of Bai Choi in the Central region was recognized by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

Notably: the Vietnam World Heritage Club 2025 summary conference (held at My Son temple complex); exhibition of images of documentary heritage and stele inscriptions in Hoi An (Le Loi street, Hoi An ward); cross-country race "For the World Cultural Heritage of Hoi An ancient town 2025" (Hoi An ward); ceremony to receive the city-level relic certificate for the Faifo prison historical relic (Hoi An ward)...
