According to the Field Command, as of 9:00 a.m. on November 16, a total of 152 officers and soldiers from many military, border, police, and militia forces participated in searching for missing victims and assisting people in evacuating from the dangerous area.

The forces sent 3 sniffer dogs and 45 officers and soldiers to the landslide area to isolate, check and identify suspicious points.

At the scene, the landslide area had many large cracks at the height of 1580, about 1km northwest of the main landslide location, showing signs of continued movement. The most serious landslide area was about 1.5km from the Military Command of Hung Son Commune, causing local isolation and making the search difficult.
