Continue to evacuate people of Hung Son commune from the landslide area.

DNO - On November 16, in the face of prolonged heavy rain and a very high risk of landslides in Hung Son commune, the Da Nang City Military Command continued to direct the expansion of the evacuation of people from dangerous areas.

According to a quick report from the Field Command, forces from Military Region 5, the City Military Command, the Defense Command of Area 2 - Thanh My, the militia of Hung Son commune, the Ga Ry Border Guard Station, the Commune Police... are actively mobilizing to high-risk areas to support the evacuation of people.

The forces evacuated 56 households/197 people of Dading village to safe areas, including: Ga Ry Boarding Primary School, the commune People's Committee headquarters, the old Ga Ry Commune Military Command, interspersed with households in safe areas.

Along with that, the forces continue to check landslide sites, arrange forces to block people from returning to dangerous areas; prepare additional evacuation plans for areas with the possibility of further landslides due to weak ground and prolonged heavy rain.
