Landslides on National Highway 40B and Provincial Road 606.

DNO - On the evening of November 16th, the units managing National Highway 40B and Provincial Road 606 reported that landslides had recurred due to heavy rain in the communes of Nam Tra My and Hung Son.

Representatives from the unit managing National Highway 40B reported that a landslide occurred at kilometer marker 110+600 (Nam Tra My commune), causing a road blockage. After nearly two hours of clearing the debris, by 7 PM the same day, vehicles were able to pass through this section in one lane.

The embankment along provincial road DT606 has collapsed at kilometer marker 51+220 (Hung Son commune). Motorbikes can use a temporary road, but cars cannot pass through.

On provincial road DT601, the repair of the landslide section managed by the Da Nang City Department of Construction from km20+005 to km35+681 (Hai Van ward) is facing difficulties. The reason is that the road surface from km20+005 to km20+400 of provincial road DT601 has completely collapsed due to landslides, and the adjacent La Son - Tuy Loan expressway is also affected. The unit managing provincial road DT601 has erected barriers to prevent vehicle traffic.

Also on provincial road DT601, at kilometer marker 33+900, the road surface has completely collapsed and subsided over a length of approximately 50m and a depth of approximately 7m. The managing unit is currently unable to access the area to inspect and assess the damage (this section is uninhabited).
