Connecting and promoting equal development for children in Da Nang

At the meeting, child delegates presented, discussed and made recommendations revolving around 6 key content groups, including solutions to support improvements in traffic safety, injury prevention and drowning prevention for children; support for improvements in learning and playing conditions and enhancement of digital transformation skills; issues of nutrition and physical health development for children.

Opinions focused on supporting mental health care, psychological counseling, reducing mental pressure for students; preventing school violence, child abuse, reducing law violations among adolescents and children; especially supporting the development of social practice skills, promoting children's participation rights in issues related to children.

Representatives of leaders of city agencies, departments and branches directly exchanged, responded and recorded opinions and suggestions, demonstrating the city's concern and commitment to building a safe, equal and comprehensive living environment for children in Da Nang.

The Minutes of the 1st Meeting of the City Children's Council were approved and handed over to the Advisory Board of the Da Nang City Children's Council for further monitoring, consulting and implementation in practice.

Previously, on the morning of November 15, the Standing Committee of the City Youth Union - Da Nang City Children's Council coordinated with UNICEF Vietnam to organize the election day for the Da Nang City Children's Council for the 2025 - 2026 period, with 67 child delegates, representing children from communes and wards in the city.

The City Children's Council proposed 15 child delegates with the best interview content to run for the positions of Chairman, Vice Chairman and Standing Member of the City Children's Council.

Candidates made personal campaign speeches with the topic "If you were the Chairman of the Danang City Children's Council for the 2025-2026 term, what model or program would you like to implement to support children in the city to develop healthily and equally?".
