Two days have passed, but the horrific landslide that occurred in Put village still haunts Ms. Coor Thi Ich, head of Put village, Hung Son commune, Da Nang city. Ms. Ich said the incident happened at around 9:30 am on November 14.
At that time, Ms. Ich was collecting medicinal herbs in the production area right at the foot of the mountain opposite the village when she heard many loud explosions. Rocks and soil from the high mountain poured down like a waterfall, sweeping everything away. Luckily, Ms. Ich survived and returned to her family, but her three neighbors, including the young couple Zo Ram Nhom and B'riu Tep, have still not been found.

'I am haunted until now. It has been confirmed that 3 people are suspected to be buried, including a young couple. The only pity is that the 2 young children cry all day long looking for their parents. People in the village also came to the house to share and encourage the family. I just hope that the missing people will be found soon. It is truly heartbreaking' - Ms. Coor Thi Ich shared.
Immediately after the incident, the leaders of Hung Son commune went to inspect the scene of the landslide, actively coordinated with the police and border guards to handle the incident according to the '4 on-site' principle. At the same time, they installed warning signs and assigned guards to prevent people and vehicles from passing through the dangerous area.

Mr. To Ngol Thieu, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Hung Son Commune, Da Nang City, said that local leaders also promptly visited, encouraged, and supported the family of the missing victim: 'After hearing information from the people, the local authorities quickly arrived at the scene to inspect, direct, and coordinate with the police, Border Guard, and military to direct the recovery work.
We also went to each household with missing people to encourage, share and provide initial support to help them overcome difficulties. In addition, villagers were also present to share with the families and hope to find the victims soon.
On the night of November 14, the Field Command Center was established in Ru village to direct the entire search for victims of the landslide. The Da Nang City Military Command also mobilized more than 100 officers and soldiers to coordinate with the Border Guard and local militia forces along with many motor vehicles to urgently deploy search and rescue work.
Colonel Phan Van Thi, Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff of the Da Nang City Border Guard, said: 'Currently, the City Border Guard Command has established a platoon of 45 comrades ready to move to the scene to search for the missing person. The Border Guard Command has also mobilized a team of sniffer dogs along with trainers and commanding officers to be present at the scene.
On that basis, we will choose the golden time to organize the search, in which the top priority is to find the 3 missing victims and then consider a solution to overcome the current landslide on the road.
Inspecting the scene and directing the work to overcome the consequences of the landslide that left three people missing in Hung Son commune on November 15, Mr. Tran Nam Hung, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City, assigned the City Military Command to preside over and command all forces to carry out plans to search for the missing victims.
Mr. Tran Nam Hung requested that the most important task at this time is to urgently search for missing victims, but there must be a reasonable and cautious plan, especially ensuring the safety of the search force.
'The weather forecast is very complicated now. If there is heavy rain in the old Quang Nam mountainous area, there will be more landslides, which will be even more dangerous. Therefore, the plan to find the missing people here must be very specific, not to sacrifice forces.
Assign the commune to send forces to put up warning signs immediately, not allowing people to enter the landslide area. The commune has done a good job of evacuating people, now we have to take care of people's lives, ensure enough food, food, and drinking water for people'. - Mr. Tran Nam Hung requested.
