Thanks to good propaganda and mobilization work, Dong Son ward people donated land to expand roads and build a "bright - green - clean - beautiful - safe" residential area.
Comrade Le Thi Thuy, Chairwoman of the Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Son Ward, said: Identifying propaganda and mobilization work as a key task, in recent times, the Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Son Ward has deployed many diverse and practical forms of propaganda, associated with campaigns and patriotic emulation movements. The content focuses on disseminating the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws, especially in implementing the reorganization of the apparatus, merging administrative units, and clearing land for key projects. Thanks to good mobilization work, people's political awareness has been raised, trust in the Party and the State has been strengthened; many large projects have been implemented smoothly, ensuring progress. Dong Son is one of the leading units in the province in site clearance work, highly appreciated for its sense of responsibility and consensus of the people.
The Dong Son Ward Fatherland Front Committee has focused on supervision, social criticism and promoting democracy at the grassroots level. Since the beginning of 2024, the Fatherland Front, in coordination with mass organizations, has chaired 34 supervision meetings and coordinated with the Standing Committee of the People's Council and People's Council committees to supervise 16 meetings; the content focused on practical areas, related to the legitimate rights of the people. At the same time, 24 conferences were organized for criticism and dialogue between the heads of Party committees and authorities with the people and union members. Voter contact activities were carried out in a regular manner, with 119 voter contact meetings of the People's Councils at all levels, attracting over 6,200 participants. Opinions were compiled and fully reflected to the authorities, with a high rate of resolution and response. The work of grasping public opinion and mediation teams at the grassroots level has been focused on. The whole ward has 57 mediation teams with 399 mediators, successfully mediating 21/25 cases, reaching 84%, contributing to maintaining political stability and social order and safety.
In addition, the Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Son Ward has effectively implemented patriotic emulation movements and campaigns, attracting the participation of all classes of people. Implementing Directive No. 42/CT-TTg of the Prime Minister on accelerating the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide and Directive No. 22-CT/TU of the Provincial Party Standing Committee on the campaign to support the construction of houses for poor households, policy households, and households with housing difficulties in the province in the two years 2024 - 2025, the Fatherland Front of the ward has mobilized over 5 billion VND, supporting the construction of 36 new houses, repairing 8 houses for poor households, with a total cost of more than 3.2 billion VND. This is a concrete demonstration of the spirit of solidarity and sharing, affirming the core role of the front in social security work. Along with that, the campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas, civilized urban areas" continues to spread widely. The ward Fatherland Front coordinated with socio-political organizations to propagate and mobilize people to donate land, contribute working days, funds to improve infrastructure, expand roads, and build bright, green, clean, and beautiful streets. Smart mass mobilization models such as: "Green house for collecting scrap", "Clean house, beautiful garden" of the Women's Union; "Flowering electric poles", "Mural street" of the Youth Union; "Exemplary veterans", "Cultural residential area" of the veterans association... have contributed to changing the urban appearance, creating a green, clean, beautiful, and civilized living space.
Implementing Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW of the Party Central Committee on "Some issues on continuing to innovate and reorganize the apparatus of the political system to be streamlined, effective and efficient", the Fatherland Front of Dong Son ward has proactively advised and coordinated with the Party Committee and the government to reorganize and perfect the apparatus to be streamlined, effective and efficient, aiming to organize the front closer to the people and meet the requirements of the tasks in the new period. Currently, the Fatherland Front Committee of the ward has 169 members representing all classes, religions, businessmen and intellectuals. The Fatherland Front of the ward has also pioneered the application of digital transformation in its activities, using platforms such as Zalo, Facebook, Fanpage, deploying the "Digital Front" platform to propagate policies and guidelines, grasp public opinion, promptly reflect the thoughts and aspirations of the people, creating a positive spread in the community.
It can be affirmed that the achieved results have demonstrated the central role of solidarity and the bridge between the Party, the government and the people of the Fatherland Front of Dong Son ward. In the coming time, the Fatherland Front of the ward will continue to promote innovation in the content and methods of operation; strengthen solidarity and social consensus; replicate models of self-management and skillful mass mobilization; actively participate in building a strong Party and government; contribute to building Dong Son ward into a civilized and modern urban area by 2030.
