Firefighting and rescue team of area 8 brought 89 people out of the danger zone.

In the context of prolonged heavy rain causing serious flooding in the province, strictly implementing the direction of the Director of Khanh Hoa Provincial Police and the leaders of the Fire Prevention and Fighting Police Department (PCCC) and Rescue and Rescue (CNCH), the Fire Fighting and Rescue Team of Region 8 has urgently and synchronously deployed drastic response measures. As of 7:00 p.m. on November 17, the unit's forces had promptly brought a total of 89 people out of the danger zone to safety. Among them were many elderly people, children and pregnant women.

Officers and soldiers of the Fire Fighting and Rescue Team of Region 8 approached deeply flooded areas to bring people to safety.

From early morning on November 17, the Team proactively coordinated closely with the police of communes and wards to check and grasp the situation of deeply flooded and isolated areas. With the spirit of "leaving no one behind", the unit mobilized maximum forces and means including 1 canoe, 1 specialized rescue vehicle, 1 troop transport vehicle along with 25 officers and soldiers and full specialized equipment, quickly approaching 4 areas completely isolated by floodwaters, including: Du Long Industrial Park (Thuan Bac commune), Go San residential area (Xuan Hai commune), Dinh riverside residential area (Do Vinh ward) and Ninh Quy village (Phuoc Hau commune). The image of soldiers wading through deep flooded water, despite the rain and wind, carrying old people and children onto the canoe moved many people.

Rescue forces brought a car at risk of being swept away by floodwaters at Du Long Industrial Park to safety.

Currently, the Fire Fighting and Rescue Team of Region 8 still maintains 100% of its personnel on duty, ready to deploy at any time when the people need it. The timely and responsible actions of the Fire Police and Rescue Force of Khanh Hoa Provincial Police have contributed significantly to protecting people's lives during this historic flood.
