Participating in the festival were 20 mass art troupes from agencies of Military Region 9; Military Commands of 5 provinces and cities; Military School of Military Region; LLC - One Member 622; 6 Brigades and 2 Defense Economic Groups, divided into 3 groups to participate in performances and competitions.

Lieutenant General Ho Van Thai, Party Secretary and Political Commissar of Military Region 9, presented flags to units participating in the festival.

With nearly 700 staff, choreographers, singers, actors, musicians and technical staff, after nearly two months of preparation with nearly 30,000 days of artistic labor. The troupes brought to the festival 103 of the most outstanding performances of various art forms including: 35 song and dance performances; 21 solo and group singing performances; 20 independent dance performances; 11 skits; 4 reformed opera performances; 6 traditional singing performances and 6 performances of traditional and modern musical instruments.

According to Senior Lieutenant Colonel Tran Dinh Cong, Head of the Propaganda Department, Political Department of Military Region 9, Deputy Head of the Festival Jury, the programs and performances closely followed the theme "Song of the March"; many programs were also built on themes associated with the history, traditions, and tasks of agencies and units; art forms that are both modern and imbued with cultural identity focused on praising the glorious Party, great Uncle Ho, heroic nation, developed country; the 80-year tradition of "Solidarity of the army and people, steadfastness, self-reliance, bravery in fighting" of the Military Region's armed forces, along with the achievements and feats in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland today.

The mass art troupe of the Logistics and Engineering Department of Military Region 9 participated in the performance.

The ideological content is clear, the orientation is profound, vividly reflecting the core political tasks of the units; the investment is elaborate, serious, creative, and innovative in style, staging and performance methods... affirming the talent and passion for art of the non-professional art nuclei.

In particular, the groups all invested well in props, using stage effects, sound, light, and vivid and suitable video presentations for each performance.

The organizing committee awarded 6 excellent programs; 11 good programs and 6 fair programs; 30 A-prize winning performances; 50 B-prize winning performances and 7 excellent authors and actors.

The Military Region 9 Mass Arts Festival contributes to promoting the cultural and artistic movement at the grassroots level; improving the spiritual and cultural life of soldiers and people, encouraging and motivating officers and soldiers to excellently complete all assigned tasks.
