Accordingly, with the current water volume and flood flow into the lake, the company will discharge water from 9:00 a.m. on November 19 to 2:00 p.m. on November 24. The regulated flow will be from 10.0 m³/s to 60.0 m³/s. The company will regulate large flows during the day from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and gradually reduce the regulated flow at night from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. the following day.

People of Dien Dien commune moved away from vulnerable areas that were deeply flooded on the night of November 17.

The water regulation process combined with rainfall outside the lake basin and high tides can raise water levels, causing temporary local flooding in some low-lying areas downstream along the Am Chua lake drainage canal in Dien Dien commune and Bac Nha Trang ward (formerly Vinh Phuong commune). To ensure the safety of people, property and infrastructure downstream of Am Chua lake, the company recommends that the People's Committee of Dien Dien commune, Bac Nha Trang ward and related units have a plan to notify people and units downstream of Am Chua lake to proactively respond.
