Schools proactively coordinate cleaning after floods recede

On the afternoon of November 19, the Department of Education and Training (DoET) sent a document to the People's Committees at the commune level and affiliated units regarding proactive response to heavy rain, flash floods, and landslides.

Specifically, the Department of Education and Training requested the People's Committees at the commune level to direct educational institutions under their management; units under the Department to strictly implement Official Dispatch No. 04, dated November 17, 2025 of the Provincial People's Committee on proactively preventing, avoiding, and responding to heavy rains, flash floods, and landslides and Official Dispatch No. 2037, dated November 18, 2025 of the Ministry of Education and Training on focusing on responding and promptly overcoming the consequences of floods in the Central region. In addition, there should be plans to ensure the safety of students, teachers, and educational administrators; closely monitor weather developments on mass media; proactively let students take time off from school and develop plans to make up for lost time; absolutely do not organize teaching when safety is not guaranteed; implement the "4 on-site" motto.

Units need to continue to review, inspect, and consolidate school facilities, especially at remote schools in remote areas, where there is a high risk of landslides or flooding; increase forces participating in preventing, combating, and overcoming the consequences of natural disasters, minimizing damage to school facilities, buildings, documents, books, and learning materials; assign leaders to be on duty 24/7 to proactively handle situations that arise; proactively coordinate cleaning after floods recede, quickly overcome the consequences of floods, stabilize the situation, and organize teaching and learning according to plan.

The Department of Education and Training requests that units continuously update information, summarize damages, and report to the Department for synthesis and reporting to the Provincial People's Committee and the Ministry of Education and Training.
