Ensuring safety for 118 people trapped on top of Hon Ba

On the evening of November 19, comrade Le Huyen - Vice Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee inspected the work to ensure safety for 118 people trapped on Hon Ba peak (Suoi Dau commune) due to landslides.

Comrade Le Huyen discussed plans to ensure safety for people on the top of Hon Ba.

Accordingly, on the same afternoon, about 118 people working at the top of Hon Ba went down the mountain along DT657 to return home when they encountered a landslide; 103 people returned to their original location and 15 people continued on.

After receiving the information, the Provincial People's Committee directed the functional forces to quickly find an approach. By 20:30, the forest rangers had approached the 2 groups (going down and going up) and brought them to a safe shelter. 15 people had reached kilometer 2 of DT657 road.

The rangers approached and brought the people to safety.

Comrade Le Huyen requested the functional forces to make every effort to ensure absolute safety for the 118 people. The Provincial People's Committee will continue to monitor and implement plans to promptly repair the traffic routes to the top of Hon Ba to ensure smooth and safe traffic.
