
In Ai Tu commune, heavy rains and floods have caused many village and hamlet roads in low-lying areas to be deeply flooded, concentrated in villages such as Tra Lien Tay, Con Boi Kiet, Luu Nghia, Dai Thuong Ha, Dung Hoi Bau, Bich Khe; many households have had water inundating their houses by about 0.2 - 0.3m. The commune has evacuated 11 households with 22 people to safety. Heavy rains and floods have also caused nearly 70 hectares of crops and 10 hectares of perennial trees to be inundated.
Over the past 24 hours, Quang Tri province has had moderate to heavy rain, and very heavy rain in the southern mountainous areas of the province; total rainfall is generally from 40-150mm, and in the southern mountainous areas of the province 307-370mm. Heavy rain has also complicated the landslide situation with more than 7 locations and roads being damaged by landslides.
Among them, there are 2 landslides at Km 285 Ho Chi Minh road and the road axis near A Vao bridge, A Vao village/Ta Rut commune, causing traffic jams; at km 165 + 300 Ho Chi Minh road West branch, a landslide of about 100 m3 of traffic was cut off. In La Lay commune, there are 2 points, including landslides at the river bank in A Bung village and km 9 + 400 QL 15D, causing traffic jams, with about 15 m3 of rock and soil spilling onto the road.

In Huong Hiep commune, there are 3 points and routes, including the inner-village road to Ta Bung residential area, Xa Vi village, where landslides buried about 1,000 m3 of the road; the abutments at both ends of Khe Nghi spillway bridge (Khe Ha village) collapsed about 20 m3; the inner-village roads of Khe Luoi, Dong Dong, and Phu Thieng had many points of rock and soil burying the road surface, with an estimated volume of about 60 m3.
According to the Quang Tri Province Civil Defense Command, the water level in the upper reaches of the rivers is slowly decreasing, but the Thach Han River in Thach Han is rising. Currently, in the province, there is 1 missing person in La Lay commune; 3 houses have been eroded; 86 flooded areas; 1,416 households with 5,479 people are flooded, concentrated in the communes of Huong Hiep, Nam Hai Lang, Ba Long, Ta Rut, Quang Tri, and Trieu Phong. Up to now, Quang Tri province has evacuated and relocated 364 households/1,259 people to safety.

Responding to the flood situation, Quang Tri province focused on directing localities to prepare response plans, monitor weather information to promptly evacuate residents in vulnerable areas; functional forces mobilized forces and means to support people in flooded areas; organized forces to guard and arrange barriers and warning signs at underground locations, flooded spillways, isolated areas, landslide risk points, dangerous areas...
