Speaking at the opening of the session, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Dang Quang said that the work of preparing personnel for the session had been carried out by competent agencies from the central to provincial levels in a strict, objective manner, in accordance with the procedures and regulations of the Party and the laws of the State. This is a very important content, aiming to promptly complete the key leadership positions of the Provincial People's Committee, ensuring stability and unity in leadership, direction and administration, contributing to improving the quality, effectiveness and efficiency of the provincial government apparatus in the new situation.

At the meeting, delegates voted to pass a resolution to dismiss Mr. Tran Phong from the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Tri province for the 2021-2026 term and to remove him from the duties of a delegate of the 8th Provincial People's Council for the 2021-2026 term due to being transferred and assigned to a new assignment.

Next, the People's Council of Quang Tri province carried out the voting process to elect the positions of Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2021 - 2026 term. With 100% of the delegates present in agreement, the People's Council of Quang Tri province passed the Resolution to elect Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Le Hong Vinh to hold the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Tri province for the 2021 - 2026 term; to elect Chief of the Provincial Party Committee Office Le Van Bao to hold the position of Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Tri province for the 2021 - 2026 term.

Speaking at the ceremony to receive the assignment, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Hong Vinh said that he will prioritize focusing on directing the implementation of the socio -economic development goals and targets for 2025; urgently concretize and comprehensively implement the Resolution of the 1st Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030; continue to review and perfect the 2-level government model, promote decentralization, authorization, promote the development role of grassroots governments associated with streamlining administrative procedures and digital transformation.

Previously, on the morning of November 17, the Standing Committee of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee held a conference to announce the Decision of the Central Party Secretariat on the transfer and appointment of Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province Le Hong Vinh to participate in the Executive Committee, Standing Committee and hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee for the 2025 - 2030 term.
