Speaking at the event, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Minh, Deputy Director of the Department of International Cooperation ( Ministry of Education and Training ) affirmed that the International Russian Language Week in Asia is a meaningful activity, contributing to honoring the Russian language and culture, while strengthening the friendship and educational cooperation between the two countries. She emphasized that the Russian language has been associated for decades with the formation of the Vietnamese intellectual team, and is the key to helping tens of thousands of cadres, teachers, and scientists access knowledge at prestigious universities in the Russian Federation.

According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Minh, in the context of integration, Russian continues to play an important role in areas where the Russian Federation has strengths such as energy, aerospace, engineering technology, medicine and basic sciences . The Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training appreciates Russia's support in human resource training, academic exchanges, scholarship granting and cultural exchange activities for Russian language learners in Vietnam.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Minh said that the Department of International Cooperation will continue to closely coordinate with agencies and educational institutions of the Russian Federation to expand student and lecturer exchanges, scientific research and improve Russian language teaching capacity. Vietnam hopes that the Russian language will spread more strongly, becoming a bridge for the younger generation to access knowledge and contribute to the Vietnam - Russia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in the new period.

The International Russian Language Week is an annual event for Russian language teachers, lecturers and researchers in countries in the Asian region. This year, the program brings together nearly 100 delegates from 13 countries, focusing on professional exchange and teaching experience in the context of innovative methods, expanding academic cooperation, applying technology in training and promoting cultural exchange.
