Exciting STEM - Robotics Festival 2025 in Cam Duong ward

For two days (November 14-15), at Ly Tu Trong Secondary School, Cam Duong Ward People's Committee organized the STEM - Robotics Festival 2025 with the theme "STEM - Building a green future".

The festival attracted a large number of students, parents and teachers from schools in the area, creating an exciting atmosphere of learning and scientific and technological exchange.

Ms. Nguyen Thu Hoai - Vice Chairman of Cam Duong Ward People's Committee delivered the opening speech at the festival.

The festival introduces a variety of activities, such as: exhibitions of scientific and technical research products, creative models, and visual STEM experiment series. The experience areas are scientifically arranged, helping students easily access technological and technical knowledge, while also training their thinking, exploration ability and creativity.

The highlight of the program was the Robotics competition and technology experience activities with the participation of 30 teams and 123 students from schools in Cam Duong ward, Lao Cai ward, Hop Thanh commune and Canadian International School. The Robotics competition "Planting trees" for primary school students; the challenge "Decoding the maze - For a green environment" for secondary school students; and the competition "Shooting water rockets - Conquering the sky" for both primary and secondary school levels brought a vibrant and attractive atmosphere to the program.

Nguyen Ngoc Bao Ha, class 8A1, Ly Tu Trong Secondary School, said: “STEM activities are very fun and useful. I hope the school will organize more activities like this to spread the spirit of self-study and creativity among students.”

Winning first prize in the water rocket shooting category, Vu Dang Vinh - class 5A6, Bac Lenh Primary School emotionally shared: "We practiced very hard to win the prize. I am very happy to interact with many other teams."

Mr. Bui Ngoc Minh, Deputy Head of the Culture - Society Department of Cam Duong Ward, Head of the Organizing Committee of the Festival, emphasized: “We want to create a playground for students to experience, thereby loving STEM and orienting their future careers. The biggest goal is that all students have access to and participate in STEM activities.”

Mr. Nguyen Xuan Nhan - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of Cam Duong Ward People's Committee delivered the closing speech of the festival.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, the Chairman of Cam Duong Ward People's Committee acknowledged and highly appreciated the enthusiastic and creative participation of the students, the responsible support of parents and the careful preparation of the schools. At the same time, he emphasized that the STEM - Robotics Festival 2025 is not only a useful intellectual playground, but also a practical activity to promote science and technology education in the school environment, helping students to form logical thinking, cooperation ability and passion for exploring the world.

The Chairman of the Ward People's Committee also highly appreciated the quality of the STEM and Robotics products on display, as well as the remarkable progress in programming skills, model design and situation handling of the competing teams. Many creative ideas with messages of environmental protection and green development demonstrated the students' good vision and awareness of modern social and technical issues.

Within the framework of the festival, Cam Duong Ward People's Committee organized the awarding of certificates of merit from the Chairman of the Ward People's Committee to two groups of students from Ly Tu Trong Secondary School and Bac Cuong Primary School No. 1 who had won prizes at the National Robotics Innovation Competition in 2025. This is an activity to commend the outstanding achievements of the students after their efforts in researching, programming and conquering challenges in the national intellectual playground, contributing to encouraging and motivating the spirit of innovation, helping students continue to pursue their passion for science and technology.

At the end of the STEM - Robotics Festival 2025, the organizing committee awarded 4 first, second, third and consolation prizes to teams with excellent achievements in each category, concluding a meaningful event, spreading the spirit of creativity and raising awareness of environmental protection among students.
