Pioneering party members in developing private economy in Yen Thanh

Resolution 68-NQ/TW of the Politburo affirms that private economic development is an important driving force of the economy. To bring the resolution into life, many party members in Yen Thanh commune have been pioneers, exemplary and creative in economic development, contributing to spreading dynamism and creativity in thinking and working among all classes of people, making positive contributions to local socio-economic development.

Mr. Nguyen Xuan Loc, a party member living in Dong Ty village, is a typical example in family economic development. With a pioneering spirit, daring to think and dare to do, he has boldly invested capital and constantly researched and learned production experience to effectively exploit the land potential. On his family's land on Thac Ba lake island, Mr. Loc has planted many high-quality grapefruit varieties such as Dien grapefruit, Phuc Trach grapefruit and Duong La Xan grapefruit.

Currently, his family's grapefruit garden of more than 1.5 hectares, with trees from 7 to 13 years old, brings in a stable income of over 120 million VND each year.

Mr. Nguyen Xuan Loc's grapefruit garden generates an income of about 120 million VND/year.

Mr. Loc shared: “As a party member, after retiring under the State's regime, I feel that I am still healthy and need to work to develop the family economy to educate my children and grandchildren, and guide people to do the same. I brought grapefruit trees home to plant and gained a lot of experience. Up to now, I have provided technical support to many households in and outside the village to develop the economy from this tree.”

As a young party member of Cay Mo village, Ninh Van Quang is also a typical example in developing the family economy. With a comprehensive economic model, producing and trading peeling boards, combined with growing 2 hectares of orange trees and Vinh oranges, Quang's family earns billions of dong each year. From the fields of production and business, Quang has created regular jobs for over 15 local workers with a stable income of 4.5 - 6 million dong/month.

Mr. Ninh Van Quang shared: “I have received attention from the local Party Committee and government, creating favorable conditions to access preferential loans to develop the private economy. Being fully aware of that, I have made efforts to research the market, expand the production scale of the plywood workshop, create more jobs and income for local workers."

In the coming time, to ensure regular jobs for local workers and ensure raw materials for products, Mr. Ninh Van Quang plans to continue to research and connect with many forest owners and product purchasing partners to access diverse markets, avoiding dependence on one source of goods or one factory location.

Mr. Nguyen Xuan Loc and Mr. Ninh Van Quang are just two of hundreds of typical party members, pioneers in developing the private economy in Yen Thanh commune. With the spirit of being exemplary, innovative in thinking and bold in investment, they have proactively applied effective production models, introduced new varieties of plants and animals into household economic development, thereby becoming typical examples, creating a strong influence in the community.

Thanks to the core role of the vanguard party members, the private economic development movement in Yen Thanh is growing, many households have learned, followed, risen up to escape poverty sustainably and become rich legitimately in their own homeland.

Up to now, Yen Thanh commune has 10 cooperatives; 59 cooperative groups and over 500 business households, with a total production and business value estimated at over 100 billion VND/year. The commune's poverty rate has decreased to 7.35%, with an average income per capita of over 51 million VND/year.

Currently, Yen Thanh Commune Party Committee has hundreds of pioneering party members in private economic development.

Yen Thanh Commune Party Committee currently has 34 branches and affiliated Party Committees with a total of 866 Party members. To develop private economic models, Yen Thanh Commune Party Committee has regularly directed and issued specific plans, while promoting propaganda for people to change the structure of crops and livestock, develop diverse industries, and get rich in their homeland.

Comrade Duong Trung Kien - Secretary of Yen Thanh Commune Party Committee said: "To implement Resolution 68-NQ/TW of the Politburo on private economic development, the Commune Party Committee has developed a specific plan for implementation in the area. In particular, it directs departments, branches and organizations to actively propagate and mobilize people to change the structure of crops and livestock; apply scientific and technical advances in production; create conditions for people to access capital sources for economic development...".

With the spirit of "Party members go first, the country follows", the Party Committee of Yen Thanh commune has directed the Party cells to promote the pioneering and exemplary role of Party members in building economic development models for people to learn and follow. At the same time, the locality has effectively implemented policies to support private economic development, encouraging Party members and people to boldly invest, expand production, and introduce new crops and livestock into cultivation, contributing to promoting emulation in production and labor, building an increasingly prosperous homeland.
