The 2025 World Vovinam Championship takes place from November 2 to 8. This 8th tournament has the participation of more than 600 athletes from 26 countries and territories with developed Vovinam movements in 4 continents: Asia, Europe, Africa, and Oceania.

Athletes compete in 45 sets of martial arts and combat medals including 26 martial arts events and 19 combat weight classes.
This is the most important playground for the world's top martial artists to demonstrate their talent, technique and martial spirit. For national teams, especially the Vietnamese Vovinam team, the tournament is an opportunity to affirm their leading position, after the successes in national tournaments in 2025.

2025 National Vovinam Championship takes place in Vinh Long
This year, the Vietnamese Vovinam team registered 39 athletes to participate in the events for combat and performance. Among them, some notable faces are Le Thi Hien, Thi Lai, Ma Thi Hong Nhung, Nguyen Huu Toan, Pham Thi Kieu Giang, Nguyen Manh Cuong, Ly Chanh Dai, Tran Thanh Vi, Nguyen Manh Phi, Le Duc Anh, Le Thi Thuong, Nguyen Quang Trieu, Lam Tri Linh,...

Mr. Ngo Ba Huy, Head of the Vovinam Department (Vietnam Sports Administration) and Vice President of the Vietnam Vovinam Federation, said: “The 2025 World Championship has great professional significance. After the training process to prepare the team, the Vovinam team's coaching staff selected the best players to participate in this tournament. We hope that each player will achieve the best professional results.”
Participating in the 2025 World Championship, Vovinam Ho Chi Minh City contributed a significant force to the national team with 19 players (Tu Cuong, Hoan Tan, Ngoc Tram, Dinh Chien, Duy Bao, Tan Thanh, Trong Nhan, Minh Toan, Truong Tho, Thanh Tuan, Kim Hang, Hoang Du, Thi Loi, Thu Thao, Hung Dung, Van Nghia, Thanh Mai, Kieu Giang, Chanh Dai).
In 2023, when the world championship was held in Vietnam, the Vietnamese Vovinam team ranked number 1 with 18 gold medals (10 gold medals in combat, 8 gold medals in performance).
