Speaking at the inauguration ceremony on the morning of November 4, the new Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee , Nguyen Duy Ngoc, affirmed that the assignment of the Politburo is the Party's trust, the organization's assignment of tasks, and a reminder of the duty to devote all his heart, intelligence, and responsibility to serving the Party and the people, contributing to the construction and development of the capital.

"I always keep in mind that Party officials must put the interests of the Party and the people first and foremost. In any position, anywhere, they must be ready to accept tasks, devote themselves, shoulder and complete them completely," said new Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Nguyen Duy Ngoc.

He said Hanoi is the place where he spent his first years of his career as a police officer in the capital.

Tempered through the vivid realities of life, he learned the first lessons of the spirit of dedication, serving the people, devotion, integrity and responsibility in work.

From Hanoi to take on central duties, continuing to be trained and challenged in many fields and in many different environments, but deep down, he emphasized that Hanoi is still his spiritual support, where he entrusts his pride and deep affection.

He said he was deeply aware of the special position and role of the capital Hanoi - the heart of the whole country, where the national quintessence converges and spreads; where history, culture and the present blend; where all the country's aspirations are directed towards.

He affirmed that taking on the position of Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee is a great honor but also a heavy responsibility.

He expressed that he would fully understand and thoroughly grasp the General Secretary 's directives and assignment of tasks at today's decision-making ceremony, along with the General Secretary 's opinions during his four working sessions with the Hanoi Party Committee, especially his directive speech at the 18th City Party Congress, with two strategic questions and seven requirements and tasks stated.

Only solidarity, unity, action and dedication can create miracles.

The new Hanoi Party Secretary promised to do his best, be dedicated, impartial, objective, not afraid of difficulties, not avoid them, wholeheartedly and wholeheartedly together with the collective of the City Party Committee, government and people of the capital to successfully carry out all tasks assigned by the Party and State.

With the consistent spirit as directed by the General Secretary: "Hanoi said and did; do it quickly, do it correctly, do it effectively, do it to the end".

At the same time, together with the Standing Committee, the Standing Committee and the City Party Executive Committee, maintain solidarity and unity, take the common interest as the top priority, take people as the center and measure of all development, say what you do, act for the people and for the country.

Fully promote the spirit of local determination, local action, local responsibility.

Continue to concretize and effectively implement Resolution 15 of the Politburo on the direction and tasks of developing the capital Hanoi to 2030, with a vision to 2045; at the same time, resolutely deploy the resolution of the 18th City Party Congress.

Focus on building a truly clean and strong capital and political system, setting an example of action and responsibility, innovating leadership methods, creating a new urban governance model, tightening discipline, enhancing the responsibility of leaders, and strongly arousing the spirit of innovation and creativity.

Pay more attention to the material and spiritual life of the people, care for the young generation, preserve and promote the cultural values of thousands of years of civilization, ensure security, order and social safety so that all people can live in a peaceful, civilized and affectionate environment.

He emphasized that the strength of Hanoi lies not only in its size, resources or position, but also in the faith, intelligence, creativity and unity of each person in the capital. No success comes from a single individual. Only solidarity, unity, action and dedication can create miracles.

Therefore, the new Secretary of Hanoi calls on all cadres, party members, civil servants, public employees, soldiers of the armed forces, the business community, intellectuals, artists, students, workers and overseas Vietnamese in Hanoi everywhere: Let's join hands, contribute, be creative, offer ideas and take action for the capital. Each ward and commune should arouse the spirit of initiative, creativity, self-reliance and self-improvement. Each Hanoian should keep within themselves the pride, awareness and responsibility of a cultured, civilized, elegant and affectionate capital.

Mr. Nguyen Duy Ngoc pointed out that there is still much work to be done on the road ahead. There are long-term strategic issues, there are urgent issues at hand, but he believes that with the close guidance of the Central Government, the tradition and mettle of the Party Committee, the government and the people of Hanoi, we will definitely be able to do it and do it even better.
