On the morning of November 4, the Hanoi Party Committee held a conference to announce the Politburo 's decision on personnel work. Accordingly, the Politburo assigned and appointed Mr. Nguyen Duy Ngoc to hold the position of Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee for the 18th term, 2025-2030.

Speaking at the ceremony, new Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Nguyen Duy Ngoc said he was very moved to be trusted by the Politburo and assigned to take on the position of Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee.

"I am deeply aware that this assignment is the Party's trust, the organization's assignment of tasks, and also a reminder of the duty to devote all my heart, intelligence, and responsibility to serving the Party, serving the people, and contributing to the construction and development of the capital," said Mr. Ngoc.

Mr. Ngoc expressed his deep gratitude to the Politburo, the Secretariat, especially General Secretary To Lam - who always gave him trust, care and dedicated guidance throughout his work.

The new Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee said he always keeps in mind that Party officials must put the interests of the Party and the people first, first of all, in any position, anywhere, they must be ready to accept tasks, devote themselves, shoulder and complete them completely.

According to Mr. Ngoc, Hanoi is the place where he spent the first years of his working career. "From a police officer in the capital, trained through the vivid realities of life, I learned the first lessons about the spirit of dedication, serving the people, about dedication, integrity, and responsibility in work," Mr. Ngoc shared.

With gratitude to the generations who have taught, guided and accompanied us throughout our working journey; with respect for the precious traditional values ​​that generations of leaders, cadres, party members, soldiers and people of Hanoi have cultivated; and above all, with the steadfast belief that together we will create a new, stronger development period, worthy of the position and stature of the heroic capital with a thousand years of culture," Mr. Ngoc stated.

According to Mr. Ngoc, taking on the position of Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee is a great honor, but also a heavy responsibility.

"I would like to fully understand and thoroughly grasp the General Secretary's instructions and assignment of tasks at today's decision-making ceremony, along with the General Secretary's instructions during his four working sessions with the Hanoi Party Committee, especially his speech at the 18th Congress with two strategic questions and seven requirements and tasks that the General Secretary raised at the congress," Mr. Ngoc said.

Mr. Ngoc promised to do his best, be dedicated, impartial, objective, not afraid of difficulties, not avoid, wholeheartedly join the collective of the City Party Committee, government and people of the capital to successfully carry out all tasks assigned by the Party and State, with the consistent spirit as the General Secretary directed: "Hanoi says it will do it, do it quickly, do it correctly, do it effectively, do it to the end".

The new Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee said that together with the Standing Committee, the Standing Committee and the Executive Committee of the City Party Committee, he will maintain solidarity and unity, taking the common interest as the most important, taking people as the center and measure of all development, saying what he does, acting for the people, for the country, for the capital.

Along with that, Mr. Ngoc said the city will pay more attention to the people's material and spiritual lives, take care of the young generation, and at the same time preserve and promote the cultural values ​​of thousands of years of civilization, ensure security, order and social safety so that all people can live in a peaceful, civilized and affectionate environment.

"No success comes from a single individual, only solidarity, unity, action and dedication can create miracles," the new Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee emphasized.

The new Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee called on all cadres, party members, civil servants, public employees, soldiers of the armed forces, the business community, intellectuals, artists, students, workers and overseas Vietnamese in Hanoi everywhere to join hands, contribute, be creative, offer ideas and take action for the capital.

Along with that, each ward and commune should arouse the spirit of initiative, creativity, self-reliance and self-improvement; each Hanoian should always keep within themselves the pride, awareness and responsibility of the people of the cultured, civilized, elegant and affectionate capital, according to the new Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee.

Knowing that there is still much work to be done on the road ahead, with long-term strategic issues and urgent immediate issues, the new Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee believes that with the close direction of the Central Government, with the glorious tradition and mettle of the Party Committee, government and people of Hanoi, we will definitely do it and do it better.
