Vice Chairman of Phu Tho Provincial People's Committee meets professor standards in 2025

(Dan Tri) - Vice Chairman of Phu Tho Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Huy Ngoc meets the standards for the title of Professor of Medicine in 2025.

Among the 71 candidates qualified for the title of professor in 2025, Mr. Nguyen Huy Ngoc, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Phu Tho province, received enough votes of confidence for the title of professor of medicine.

Mr. Nguyen Huy Ngoc, born in 1970, is from Dan Thuong commune, Phu Tho province. He received his Bachelor of Medicine degree, majoring in General Practitioner from Bac Thai University of Medicine in 1994.

In 2002, Mr. Ngoc received a Master's degree in Medicine, specializing in Emergency Resuscitation from Hanoi Medical University in 2002; and a Doctorate in Medicine, specializing in Internal Cardiology from the Military Medical Academy - Ministry of National Defense in 2012.

In addition to his medical expertise, he also received a master's degree in Economics , majoring in Economic Management from the National Economics University in 2016, and a bachelor's degree in English Language from the University of Science, Thai Nguyen University.

In 2022, he was appointed as Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Vietnam National University, Hanoi.

During his career, Mr. Ngoc worked as a doctor at Tan Phu General Hospital (Phu Tho); doctor, Deputy Head of Department, Deputy Director and then Director of Phu Tho Provincial General Hospital. After that, he worked as Deputy Director and then Director of Phu Tho Department of Health.

From 2024-2025, he was Vice Chairman of Phu Tho Provincial People's Committee and Director of Phu Tho Provincial Department of Health; Vice Chairman of Phu Tho Provincial People's Committee (from January 2025 to present).

Regarding training, Mr. Ngoc has been a guest lecturer at the 108 Institute of Clinical Medicine and Pharmacy (2013-2020), the University of Public Health (2017 to present), the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Thai Nguyen University (2020 to present), the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (2022 to present), and the Military Medical Academy (2022 to present).

Mr. Ngoc's main research directions include comprehensive research on stroke, application of advances in diagnosis, treatment and management of stroke treatment organization models in Vietnam; research on digital healthcare transformation solutions, healthcare financial management, hospital quality management and application of artificial intelligence.

According to records, Mr. Ngoc presided over and completed 8 scientific research projects at all levels, including one state-level project and two ministerial-level projects.

He has also published 113 scientific articles, including 18 articles in prestigious international journals (12 articles as main author, 6 articles as co-author).

Mr. Ngoc has also published 9 books, of which he is the editor/co-editor of 8 books, including 2 monographs (including 1 international book), 2 textbooks, 5 reference books (including 1 international book published by the prestigious publisher Springer).
