O Lam Commune organized the Great Unity Day at Sa Lon Hamlet

On the afternoon of November 4, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of O Lam commune (An Giang province) chose Sa Lon hamlet as the venue for the National Great Unity Day, on the occasion of the 95th anniversary of the Vietnam Fatherland Front's Traditional Day (November 18, 1930 - November 18, 2025).

O Lam Commune Party Committee presented gifts to Sa Lon Hamlet People's Committee.

Venerable Chau Son Hy, Deputy Head of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of An Giang province; Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of O Lam commune Tieu Dinh Hieu Nhan Trung attended the festival.

Sa Lon Hamlet has 433 households, with over 92% of the population being Khmer. The hamlet has 1 Khmer Theravada pagoda, 1 school; volleyball court, soccer field, playground for children, 1 pentatonic band... to meet the needs of physical exercise , culture - arts, healthy entertainment for the people. The appearance of the hamlet is increasingly spacious, green - clean - beautiful.

In 2025, Sa Lon hamlet mobilized to build 5 new houses for the poor, worth 250 million VND; 9 households received breeding cows from the sustainable poverty reduction livelihood project. The hamlet People's Committee mobilized to install 18 solar light bulbs to light up the hamlet; coordinated with the pagoda to maintain Khmer classes for students during the summer. Currently, the hamlet has 6 poor households and 2 near-poor households.

Rewarding 3 typical cultural families.

At the festival, 3 typical cultural families were commended and rewarded; 366 households were awarded "Cultural Family" certificates; the hamlet continued to be recognized as maintaining "Cultural Hamlet" in 2025.
