After a period of preparation and rehearsal, the Provincial Traditional Arts Theater presented the "Raglai Echoes" program to the audience. The 16 unique and elaborately staged singing, dancing, and musical performances demonstrated the unit's investment in improving the quality of street art performances. The 90-minute program also provided an opportunity for each artist to showcase their talent to the public. "In this new art program, I performed a solo piece on the stone xylophone, along with other ensemble pieces. Performing before the audience was a chance for me to introduce the unique sounds of the stone xylophone to everyone," said musician My Tram.

The "Echoes of the Raglai" program is structured into three chapters: "Echoes of the Great Forest"; "Love for the Land - Love for the People"; and "Aspiration for a New Day". Chapter 1 features performances deeply rooted in Raglai folk art, such as: " Raglai Dance"; "Singing with Palei Birds"; "Spring Comes to Raglai"; "Sunrise in the Fields"; and "Echoes of the Great Forest"... Through these performances, the program evokes the majestic wilderness of the western part of the province – the home of the Raglai people with their unique cultural colors.

Chapter 2 offers the audience profound insights into the beauty of nature, mountains, forests, and the sentiments of the Raglai people in the province through performances such as: " The Echoing Forest"; "Raglai Festival Night"; "The Sound of the Stone Harp"; "Bac Ai, the Rising Sun"; "The Girl from Khanh Son"; "How I Love the Sound of the Forest Gongs"... Through these rich, distinctive sounds, the image of the Raglai people emerges as simple yet resilient. Their lives, for generations, have been intertwined with the mountains, forests, and villages, preserved and passed down through generations through songs, gong music, stone harp music, and dances.

The final chapter, featuring performances such as " Stone Harp Tonight," "Raglai Forest Fragrance," "Raglai Legends," and " Khanh Hoa: New Vitality," affirms the cultural values that the Raglai people have built together over generations. In the development of Raglai villages today, we see the spirit of solidarity and close ties with other ethnic groups living in the area, thus strengthening their resolve to preserve their own ethnic traditions.

Contributing to the promotion of Raglai ethnic culture.

In Khanh Hoa province, the mountainous communes of Khanh Son, Khanh Vinh, Bac Ai, etc., are home to a large number of Raglai people. For generations, the Raglai people have built a unique and distinctive cultural and artistic tradition, a testament to the rich spiritual life of the people of the mountains and forests, with epic poems about heroes; folk songs such as alau, rutu, and lullabies; The musical instruments include stone xylophones, chapi lutes, ma la gongs, gourd horns, tacung flutes, etc. “To stage this art program, we researched books and newspapers, and consulted with several people knowledgeable about the Raglai people's culture. Based on that, we tried to select melodies, sounds, and performances that are both characteristic of the Raglai people and suitable for the tastes of a wide audience. Nearly a year ago, the theater staged and performed the art program “Returning to the Heritage Region,” which was rich in Cham folk culture and art. In early May, the unit continued to launch the ethnic musical instrument performance program “Colors of the Land of Agarwood,” and now the program “Echoes of Raglai.” Through this, we contribute to promoting the beauty of Raglai culture to a wide audience of people and tourists, while enriching street art performances and improving the quality of performances to meet the increasingly high demands of the audience,” she said. Duong Viet Ha, Deputy Director of the Provincial Traditional Arts Theatre, stated.

From the Raglai villages, nestled amidst mountains and forests, the sounds of streams blend with the echoing melodies of stone xylophones, gongs, and chapi, a thread connecting the people of today with the past and the future. Introducing the unique cultural identity and beauty of the Raglai people to friends near and far, especially international tourists, in the heart of Nha Trang, is seen as a way to spread this cultural heritage further. The "Raglai Echoes" program is also one of 18 art performances developed by the Provincial Traditional Arts Theater in response to the Khanh Hoa Sea Festival 2026. Through this, locals and tourists will have the opportunity to enjoy vibrant performances reminiscent of a Raglai village festival.
