Badminton beauty queen Nguyen Thuy Linh is happy with her 3-week tour

Vietnam's No. 1 badminton player shared optimistically: "3 weeks passed so quickly. Nguyen Thuy Linh concluded 3 weeks of international competition with positive results, ready to conquer new goals in 2025.

At the Indonesia Masters international badminton tournament within the ongoing BWF Tour Super 500 system, Nguyen Thuy Linh (ranked 32nd in the world ) stopped in the quarterfinals of the women's singles against Sung Shuo-yun (Taiwan, ranked 24th in the world). Missing the chance to enter the semi-finals, this was also the most successful tournament for the Dong Nai tennis player in the early 2025 tour. The most impressive was her defeat of the world's 12th ranked player, 2019 world champion Pusarla Sindh (India) in the first round.

With her achievement of being in the top 8 strongest players of the Indonesia Masters badminton tournament, the Vietnamese badminton beauty queen has accumulated 5,040 bonus points and 2,850 USD in prize money (about 70 million VND). With the points she has earned, Nguyen Thuy Linh is expected to return to the world top 30 on the rankings next week.

Previously, Nguyen Thuy Linh participated in the Malaysia Open (part of the BWF Tour Super 1000 system, taking place from January 7 to 12). She defeated Natsuki Nidaira (Japan, ranked 23rd in the world) with a score of 2-0 (21/16, 21/19) in the first round and then lost to current world number 1 An Se-young (Korea) in the second round. At the India Open (part of the BWF Tour Super 750 system, from January 14 to 19), Nguyen Thuy Linh stopped in the first round against Yeo Jia Min (Singapore, ranked 13th in the world).
