Báo Dân trí•03/04/2025After two national rounds of competition, Le Phan Duc Man is the only student from Ho Chi Minh City and the southern provinces to be selected as one of the 37 representatives for Vietnam to compete in the 2025 International Olympiad.

To be selected to participate in the International Olympiad, students must pass two national-level competitions. First, there was the national-level competition for outstanding students with nearly 6,500 participants. Then, the 187 students with the best results were summoned by the Ministry of Education and Training to participate in the second round, which took place from March 25th to 27th.
Reportedly, this year, Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted has 5 students participating in the selection exam for the international Olympic teams in biology, physics, chemistry, and mathematics.
According to the school's leadership, having a student selected for the International Mathematical Olympiad team is not only a personal joy for the student but also a source of pride for the school.
Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted in Ho Chi Minh City is also a school whose students have represented the southern provinces in previous years' international Olympic competitions and won awards.
Notable achievements include Phan Huynh Tuan Kiet, a student at the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO 2021), winning a bronze medal in 2021; and Nguyen Viet Phong, a student at the International Chemistry Olympiad (IChO 2022), winning a gold medal in 2022.
