The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training announced that the grading committee will be working on the marking of exam papers on June 3rd and 4th. From June 5th to 9th, the grading committees will begin marking the papers. Afterwards, the committee will complete the scoring, data comparison, and review of results before announcing the exam scores, which are expected to be released after June 12th.

According to regulations, before the official grading begins, the grading committees will be provided with the answer key and grading guidelines, and will jointly grade at least 10 papers to standardize the evaluation method. This is to ensure that the examiners apply the scoring scale and answer key consistently.
Each essay exam will undergo two independent grading rounds. In the first round, the head of the grading team will randomly assign exam papers to the examiners. After completion, the Examination Council Secretariat will collect all grading sheets and continue to randomly assign exams for the second grading round, ensuring that no exam paper is returned to the same examiner who graded it in the first round.
After two rounds of grading, the grading committees compare and agree on the score for each question and the total score for the entire exam before recording the official results on the exam paper.
In addition to the two-round independent grading process, the grading committee also conducts a review of at least 5% of the total number of exam papers. Papers selected for review are chosen randomly or fall under cases requiring scrutiny, such as large discrepancies in scores between the two grading rounds, or papers with unusually high or low scores.
According to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training, the grading is carried out by different examiners following an independent grading process to enhance accuracy and ensure the rights of the candidates.
The grading area is arranged according to regulations, ensuring security and safety, with security personnel on duty 24/7 and fully meeting fire safety requirements. Members participating in the grading process are not allowed to bring information transmission or copying devices, or any items not on the permitted list, into the grading area.
The entrance exam for 10th grade in public schools for the 2026-2027 school year in Ho Chi Minh City took place on June 1st and 2nd, on the largest scale nationwide. This was also the city's first entrance exam after the administrative unit reorganization. To support the entire exam process, from invigilation to marking, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training mobilized approximately 22,000 officials, teachers, and staff.
Candidates and parents can check the results on the official website of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training as soon as the Department announces the exam scores, expected after June 12th.
