The Vietnamese student delegation made a mark by achieving the highest achievement ever at the Regeneron ISEF 2025, with 2 Second prizes, 1 Third prize, 3 Fourth prizes and 4 Special prizes from sponsors.
The Regeneron ISEF 2025 took place from May 11 to 16 in Columbus, Ohio, USA, bringing together nearly 1,700 high school students from more than 60 countries, territories and 48 US states, with more than 1,000 projects in 22 fields.
The Vietnamese delegation participated with 9 projects in 6 fields and achieved outstanding results with 2 Second prizes, 1 Third prize, 3 Fourth prizes and 4 Special prizes from sponsors.
The first Second Prize in the field of Robots and smart machines was awarded to students Huynh Huy Hung and Nguyen Nhat Tuan Kiet (Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted, Da Nang), with the topic "TalkieVBot - Robot supportingeducation for children with language disabilities";
Second Prize in Chemistry category by Do Ha Phuong and Nguyen Duc Thai (Viet Duc High School, Hanoi ), topic "High performance lithium vanadium oxide oxidation material for environmental treatment".
Third Prize went to Pham Quang Phuc An and Nguyen Mai Khue (High School for the Gifted in Natural Sciences, University of Natural Sciences - Vietnam National University, Hanoi) in the field of Biomedical Engineering, with the topic "Developing a solution to support the assessment of male reproductive health at home".
3 Fourth prizes go to:
Dang Tran Bao Anh and Mai Tam Trang (High School for the Gifted in Natural Sciences, University of Natural Sciences - Vietnam National University, Hanoi) with the topic "Research on creating antibodies to neutralize Bolutinum Type A toxin based on nanobody technology";
Le Minh Hieu and Cao Trung Quan (Quang Tri Town High School, Quang Tri) with the topic "Self-propelled wheelchair supports people with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis in moving and communicating";
Ha Nhat Bao and Nguyen Tan Duc (Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted, Ho Chi Minh City) with the topic "Application of Deep Learning in automatic music composition, orientation for preservation and development of Southern Vietnamese amateur music".
In addition, the Vietnamese delegation also won 4 Special Awards from sponsors, which are companies, corporations, and research centers, for projects with great potential and prospects.
The projects awarded Special Prizes include: Project "Developing solutions to support male reproductive health assessment at home" by Pham Quang Phuc An and Nguyen Mai Khue, High School for the Gifted in Natural Sciences, University of Natural Sciences - Vietnam National University, Hanoi (2 prizes);
Project "Research on creating antibodies to neutralize Botulinum toxin type A based on Nanobody technology" by Dang Tran Bao Anh and Mai Tam Trang (High School for Gifted Students in Natural Sciences, University of Natural Sciences - Vietnam National University, Hanoi);
Project "High-performance lithium vanadium oxide oxidation material for environmental treatment" by Do Ha Phuong and Nguyen Duc Thai (Viet Duc High School, Hanoi).
According to the Ministry of Education and Training, this is the highest result of Vietnamese students at Regeneron ISEF since their first participation in 2013, demonstrating the team's continuous efforts and the strong integration of Vietnamese education with the world. This achievement contributes to enhancing the position of Vietnamese education in the international arena, while realizing Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation.
