This is one of many activities of the Vietnam Exhibition House at EXPO 2025 towards the 80th anniversary of National Day September 2. The program has the participation of more than 80 Vietnamese and Japanese artists and dancers, elaborately staged to introduce to the audience the quintessence of traditional and contemporary Vietnamese music .
Attending the program were Mr. Tran Nhat Hoang, Deputy Director of the Department of International Cooperation, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism , Deputy General Representative of Vietnam Exhibition House at EXPO, Mr. Le Ngoc Dinh, Chairman of the Vietnam - Japan Cultural Exchange Association, Head of the Organizing Committee, Mr. Toyoharu Tsutsui, Chairman of the Japan - Vietnam Cultural Exchange Association.

In his opening speech, Mr. Le Ngoc Dinh, Chairman of the Vietnam - Japan Cultural Exchange Association emphasized: “This event held at World EXPO 2025 Osaka, Japan is a very meaningful activity, not only contributing to promoting Vietnamese culture to the Japanese people, but also to many international friends, showing the beauty of cultural exchange between the two countries, is an opportunity to open up new directions of cooperation in the future, and also contributes to practically promoting the friendly cooperation relationship between Vietnam and Japan”.
Soprano artist Trang Bui performed the song “Hello Vietnam” and the Chau Van tune “Co Doi Thuong Ngan”. In particular, the Hau Dong dance left a strong impression, introducing to international friends the Vietnamese Mother Goddess Worship - an intangible cultural heritage of humanity recognized by UNESCO.

Another highlight was the Yosakoi performance by two dance teams from Hanoi: Sakura Bamboo Mountain and Hanoi Sennen. These two groups were awarded the title of Yosakoi Ambassador to Vietnam by Kochi Prefecture (Japan) in 2017.
This year's Yosakoi performances are in Japanese style but are created with Vietnamese historical and cultural content, incorporating patriotism and strong will, attracting enthusiastic cheers from thousands of spectators.

After the outdoor performance, the two Yosakoi teams and singer Trang Bui continued to perform at the Vietnam Exhibition House. Trang Bui returned to her forte of chamber music when performing the song “O Sole Mio” on traditional Vietnamese instruments.
In particular, dancers Nui Truc Sakura and Hanoi Sennen, together with staff from the Vietnam Exhibition House, performed a vibrant flashmob to the song "Oh Vietnam" right in front of the Exhibition House, creating an exciting atmosphere for a large number of visitors.
Sharing about the event, Mr. Tran Nhat Hoang, Deputy Director of the Department of International Cooperation, Deputy General Representative of Vietnam at EXPO 2025 said: “EXPO 2025 is an opportunity for us to convey the message about the young, dynamic and talented Vietnamese people, a Vietnam with special friendship with Japan and where Japanese culture has certain influences, which has the potential to bring people of the two countries closer together, bringing long-term benefits in cooperation”.
On this occasion, the exhibition area is brightly decorated with red flags with yellow stars. The organizers will organize livestream viewing of the military parade and march in Vietnam, check-in at the “Vietnam National Day Corner”, and souvenir hats about the Vietnam-Japan friendship relationship… to serve visitors.
