Vietnam has seized a historic opportunity.

The success of the August Revolution and the birth of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945) had historical significance and special importance, leaving behind many great lessons about the role of outstanding individuals and a leading political party that knew how to gather and mobilize the combined strength, promote the patriotism and indomitable will of the Vietnamese people.

This is the comment of Mr. Khieu Kanharith - Direct Supreme Advisor to the King, Member of the National Assembly, Member of the Central Committee of the Cambodian People's Party (CPP) when talking to VNA.

According to Mr. Khieu Kanharith, thanks to the wisdom of President Ho Chi Minh and the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam , Vietnam seized the historical opportunity from "Japan and France fighting each other and our actions", to the Japanese Emperor declaring surrender to the Allied forces, successfully carrying out the General Uprising to seize power throughout the country, opening a great turning point of the revolution, giving birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam (now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam).

Borrowing the image of bamboo to convey the message about the industrious qualities and tradition of solidarity of the Vietnamese people, Congressman Khieu Kanharith affirmed that the resilience and perseverance of the Vietnamese people is a major factor of great significance to the success of the Vietnamese revolution.

Expressing his admiration for the country and people of Vietnam, and from there delving into the life and revolutionary career of President Ho Chi Minh, Mr. Ly Minh Han - Consultant of the film "Nguyen Ai Quoc in Hong Kong" shared that thanks to the leadership of President Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam has achieved many great victories. No other country in Southeast Asia, and more broadly in Asia, has been able to do so. Without the previous guidance and direction of President Ho Chi Minh, as well as the enlightenment of his wise thoughts, Vietnam could not have had the peaceful and prosperous era it has today.

According to Mr. Ly Minh Han, Vietnam has now undergone significant changes under the leadership of General Secretary To Lam. The effectiveness of streamlining the administrative apparatus will have a positive impact on Vietnam’s economy, society and politics.

Professor, Dr. Ignacio Bartesaghi - Director of the Institute of International Trade at the Catholic University of Uruguay also affirmed that Vietnam has undergone profound changes in recent times, especially in the fields of production and industry. From a traditional agricultural country, Vietnam has risen to become one of the emerging economies capable of exporting high-tech goods to the world. This process cannot be separated from the strategy of attracting foreign direct investment, as well as the significant improvement in infrastructure in major cities, contributing to a clear change in the face of the country.

The professor believes that Vietnam has shown its acumen in seizing development opportunities, with a clear strategy and focus on economic cooperation, technology, international trade, etc.
