Implementing the Prime Minister's direction on the railway project

Nghe An province requested sectors and localities to focus on implementing the Prime Minister's conclusions at the meeting of the Railway Project Steering Committee, ensuring progress and quality.

On November 3, the People's Committee of Nghe An province issued Official Dispatch No. 11905/UBND-CN on implementing the conclusion of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh at the 4th meeting of the Steering Committee for important national works and projects in the railway sector.

Accordingly, Vice Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee Hoang Phu Hien assigned relevant departments, branches, localities and units to urgently review and strictly implement the tasks in Notice No. 579/TB-VPCP of the Government Office and Official Dispatch No. 12505/BXD-KTQLXD of the Ministry of Construction; focus on removing obstacles, speeding up site clearance work, not to affect the overall progress of the project.

The Department of Construction of Nghe An province is assigned to preside over monitoring, urging, and at the same time advising the Provincial People's Committee to develop a specific implementation plan, report to the Ministry of Construction for synthesis and report to the Government.

Regarding the North-South high-speed railway project, the Prime Minister requested localities with routes passing through to speed up site clearance, relocate technical infrastructure, complete resettlement areas, and ensure new housing for people is at least equal to or better than their old housing.

In Nghe An, the project route is 85.5 km long, passing through 18 communes and wards with about 2,150 households affected, of which nearly 1,942 households must be resettled. Nghe An province plans to build 30 resettlement areas with a total cost of about 1,450 billion VND, ensuring progress and social security for the people.
