According to forecasts, from November 6 to 7, the area from Da Nang to Dak Lak will have widespread rain from 200-400mm, some places over 600mm. The area from Ha Tinh to Thua Thien Hue, Khanh Hoa and Lam Dong will have rain from 100-250mm, some places over 400mm. Meanwhile, from November 7 to 8, Thanh Hoa and Nghe An provinces may have rain from 50-100mm, some places over 200mm.

Prolonged heavy rains have caused many localities in the Central and Central Highlands regions to continue to be severely affected. In the North Central region alone, about 762 hectares of vegetables and 255 hectares of fruit trees have been flooded, mainly in Quang Tri and Hue City. Many areas are still deeply flooded, and the full extent of the damage has not yet been fully assessed. In the South Central and Central Highlands regions, more than 12,300 hectares of crops have been flooded and damaged.
Regarding the safety of irrigation works, damage was recorded on a large scale. In Quang Tri, more than 2,000m of canals were damaged, 9,000m of river banks were eroded. In Thua Thien Hue, a total of more than 60km of canals were damaged and filled; many dams such as Thuy Yen, Thiem Cat, Nam Giang, Hoa My were eroded; 30 temporary dams in Nam Dong and A Luoi were washed away. Some large drainage culverts such as Thao Long, La Y, Phu Cam were blocked by moss, rubbish, and bamboo bushes, making it difficult to drain the flood.
In Da Nang, a 20m long section of the Ly Ly River dike was broken, affecting 48 households; more than 8km of canals were eroded and filled up. Quang Ngai recorded 94 damaged irrigation works, nearly 16km of canals were eroded, 71 domestic water supply works were swept away; serious erosion along the Phuoc Giang, Tra Bong and Tra Khuc rivers.
In Dak Lak, more than 860m of canals were eroded, 74m of intra-field canals were filled. Notably, in Lam Dong, a self-built reservoir broke at Viet Phong Phu farm (Tuy Phong commune), causing damage to crops and livestock for 109 households in Tuy Tinh 1, Tuy Tinh 2 and Thon 2 villages (Tuy Phong commune), many canals, power lines and infrastructure were damaged. Notably, the incident caused one death due to being swept away by water.
