On November 3, Bach Khoa Solar Energy Investment and Development Joint Stock Company ( SolarBK), Banpu NEXT Limited Liability Company (parent company in Thailand) and Amata Vietnam Limited Liability Company (Amata VN) announced a strategic cooperation to develop rooftop solar power systems in Vietnam.
Accordingly, the three parties will cooperate strategically to deploy rooftop solar power systems at two industrial parks: Amata City Ha Long (686ha wide) in Quang Ninh province and Amata City Long Thanh (410ha wide) in Dong Nai province, with a total expected capacity of 227MW.
The projects are expected to be implemented from early 2026, aiming to accelerate the green transition for customers in these industrial parks; at the same time, demonstrating a commitment to reducing carbon emissions and supporting Vietnam's Net Zero target by 2050.

On-site clean energy sources will help Amata Industrial Parks improve their competitiveness, provide comprehensive, cost-effective and sustainable infrastructure, and meet the requirements of businesses in the global supply chain towards Net Zero.
Ms. Somhatai Panichewa, General Director of Amata VN, said: "This partnership is a key step towards our vision of carbon neutrality by 2040. By directly integrating rooftop solar projects into the operating and developing industrial park ecosystem, we will contribute to enhancing value for global industrial manufacturers, who increasingly prioritize sustainability and energy cost savings in their investment location selection process."
According to Ms. Somhatai Panichewa, this cooperation will also help transform Amata Industrial Parks into green manufacturing hubs, harmonizing economic growth and environmental responsibility.
In the next phase, the three companies are committed to long-term companionship in Vietnam's journey of sustainable industrial development.
The partnership will also aim to further integrate clean energy technologies and services such as energy storage systems, smart grid solutions and energy efficiency measures.
At the same time, the parties aim to make a significant contribution to the carbon emission reduction targets of industrial customers; thereby, supporting Vietnam's energy transition, enhancing economic resilience and sustainable development future.
