Amidst the colorful parade celebrating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day, September 2, the image of a fresh young girl in traditional Tay ethnic costume made a strong impression.
This girl is Hoang Chau Anh, born in 2005, currently a student at Foreign Trade University. She won the title of Miss Ao Dai Heritage Vietnam 2024.

Sharing about the moment she learned she was chosen to walk in the first row of the parade representing 54 ethnic groups, Chau Anh could not hide her emotion: "When I was assigned the task, I was both happy and felt a great responsibility. It was not only a personal pride but also an honor for my family, my homeland and the Tay people that I represent."
Chau Anh was born in Cao Bang , a Tay ethnic girl. That is something she is very proud of.

To prepare for this special role, the 20-year-old girl trained herself to be highly disciplined and focused.
"I always remind myself that every step is not just a marching movement, but also a step carrying national pride. That is what gives me more strength to complete my mission well," Chau Anh confided.

"It was pride in my roots, in my national culture, and in a united and everlasting Vietnam. At that moment, I felt like I was not just Chau Anh, a small individual, but a representative of a whole young generation affirming Vietnamese identity and character," she said about her emotions when walking on the sacred Ba Dinh Square in her Tay ethnic costume.

Training for the parade requires seriousness and perseverance. Chau Anh has to balance her school schedule and her training schedule.
"There were days when I ran from class to the practice field. But it was the encouragement from my family and self-reminder that gave me the strength and determination to complete both," she recounted.

Chau Anh shared: "Every time there was intense sunshine or sudden rain, the delegates encouraged each other, "heavy rain is light rain, light rain is no rain", then put on hats and raincoats to continue practicing. The common pride turned the difficulties into motivation."

Hoang Chau Anh possesses modern beauty, an outstanding height of 1.73m, is not only a good student but also Miss Ao Dai Heritage Vietnam 2024, crowned on January 11 this year.

"I believe that being a beauty queen is not just a title, but also a responsibility to spread good things. I joined the contest to challenge myself, to contribute to inspiring young people to be confident, to dare to dream and to dare to make efforts," Chau Anh shared about the reason for becoming a beauty queen.

After being crowned, Miss Hoang Chau Anh hopes to continue studying and developing herself, while also carrying out community projects on preserving heritage and supporting education for children in the highlands.

As Miss Ao Dai Heritage Vietnam 2024, Chau Anh feels more confident and aware that she is walking not only for herself but also carrying the pride of her homeland, heritage and tradition.
"This is an opportunity for me to contribute my small part in honoring Vietnamese cultural values, while reminding myself to always preserve and spread that beauty wherever I go," she said.

Through this, Chau Anh also hopes to spread the spirit of solidarity and national pride to friends and people across the country, especially the young generation.
"Each of us, regardless of our position, can contribute to preserving and promoting the national cultural identity. I hope everyone will always be proud of their roots, preserve traditional values, and nurture big dreams," the beauty queen shared.

"As a child of the Tay ethnic group, I am always proud of my hometown Cao Bang, the land at the head of the Fatherland with majestic nature, Ban Gioc waterfall, Lenin stream, Pac Bo cave associated with history, and most of all, the warm and harmonious humanity. The tradition that I preserve is the sincerity, diligence and solidarity of the people," she expressed.
