As previously announced on the conversion principle, National Economics University has only one standard score for all admission methods in 2025.
Notably, there is an unusual gap in admission scores between the top majors and the bottom majors. The gap is nearly 6 points, which has never happened in recent years at this school.
Specifically, the major with the highest benchmark score at the National Economics University is E-commerce with 28.83 points. Meanwhile, the lowest major is Public Management and Policy (E-PMP program) with 23 points, a difference of 5.83 points.

The whole school has 8 majors that require 28 points or more, 18 majors that require 27 points or more, but there are 15 majors that require less than 25 points.
The benchmark score range from 25 to under 27 is the most popular with 40 majors.
In previous years, the benchmark scores based on the high school graduation exam scores of the National Economics University had a more concentrated score distribution.
If converted to a scale of 30, the school's highest major is Public Relations with 28.18 points. The whole school has only 3 majors with a benchmark score above 28 and there are 35 majors with a benchmark score of 27 or higher. The number of majors with a benchmark score from 26 to below 27 is 30 and there are only 3 majors with a benchmark score below 26 points, the lowest is 25.55 points.
The difference between the leading and bottom industries is only 2.63.
If comparing the entire score range, the 2025 benchmark score of the National Economics University has a stronger differentiation and a higher rate of low scores. Meanwhile, the 2024 benchmark score has a high concentration.
In essence, the school's benchmark score for 2024 is the score based on the high school graduation exam results. The benchmark score for 2025 is the converted score of many different methods. In particular, this year's low high school graduation exam scores have led to a "downhill" benchmark score range.
The above figures also show that, even when calculating scores twice for candidates with IELTS, only the "hottest" majors of the school have increased their benchmark scores. The remaining majors mostly decreased by 1-2 points, even though they were converted from many methods independent of the graduation exam scores. This reflects the conversion formula of the National Economics University to ensure equivalence.
The strangeness of the benchmark score range also occurred at Foreign Trade University.
Last year, considering the high school graduation exam scores of the original A00 group, the highest standard score of the Foreign Trade University - Hanoi campus was 28.1, the lowest was 27.2, a difference of 0.9 points.
However, this year, the highest benchmark score by this method is 28 and the lowest is 25.7, a difference of 2.3 points.
In general, universities using high school graduation exam scores as the main admission method all have lower admission scores compared to 2024. The score above 29 is mostly converted from many other methods, including converting international language certificates to English scores.
This explains why the admission scores for medical schools - which mainly consider graduation exam scores - are low while the admission scores for English and Chinese Pedagogy schools reach 30/30.
