Recently, social networks continued to be abuzz with a post by a student from the Central University of Art Education who participated in the A80 program (celebrating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2) reporting that he had not received any support money, even though many students from other schools had been paid.
On the afternoon of December 1, answering reporters of VTC News, Mr. Le Vinh Hung - Principal of the Central University of Art Education affirmed that the school will pay full support money to students in accordance with regulations and instructions of the management agency.
"The payment task has been agreed upon by the school in the contract and must be carried out according to the State Treasury's control process, so it cannot be carried out immediately as some information on social networks has reported. The payment progress depends on the number of documents and legal requirements in the settlement," said Mr. Hung.

According to Mr. Hung, for task A80, the school has more than 2,000 students participating in the block of puzzles and artistic word formation, the largest number among the units. Therefore, all documents must be checked, reviewed and completed completely before the State Treasury evaluates and accepts payment.
The procedures include: Collecting student records; checking information; comparing information (list, student code, account number, eligibility), reviewing through multiple levels to ensure accuracy and validity, then submitting to the Treasury for appraisal.
The principal said that the finance department and related units are actively implementing to pay the right subjects, the right amount, ensuring maximum benefits for students. Immediately after receiving funds from superiors, the school will transfer the support regime according to regulations to the student's account.
Previously, public opinion was stirred up by the incident where students from Hanoi College of Tourism took to social media to question the A80 support money. While students from other schools received 1.6 million VND, their school only received 940,000 VND in cash, and the receipt did not clearly state the amount.
The school explained that the "difference was due to expenses for food and car rental", but there was no list, price list or invoice. Later, at the dialogue on December 1, Mr. Pham Van Long - Principal of Hanoi College of Tourism admitted that this was "a major oversight of the school".
According to Mr. Long, after approving the two-time payment plan on November 24, the Head of the Student Affairs Department went on a business trip, so the staff who made the payment did not fully understand and disseminate the document previously approved by the principal.
This document clearly states the payment plan in two installments. The first installment is 940,000 VND, the second installment is 580,000 VND, which will be paid at the ceremony to honor students with good achievements, scheduled to take place from December 15 to 25.
"This is a major oversight due to the school providing incomplete information. The money was just given out without explanation, causing students to misunderstand that it was the total amount of support," Mr. Pham Van Long affirmed.
