On the afternoon of August 31, at the Party Central Committee Headquarters, General Secretary To Lam received comrade Zhao Leji, member of the Standing Committee of the Politburo of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of the People's Republic of China.

Comrade Zhao Leji led a high-ranking delegation of the Chinese Party and State to Hanoi , beginning an official visit to Vietnam; attending the ceremony, parade, and march to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and Vietnam's National Day on September 2; and co-chairing the first meeting of the Cooperation Committee between the Vietnamese National Assembly and the Chinese National People's Congress.
