At the reception, Chinese Ambassador He Wei conveyed warm greetings and best wishes from Politburo Standing Committee member and Chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference Wang Huning to Chairwoman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Bui Thi Minh Hoai. He congratulated Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai on being elected by consultation to hold the position of Chairwoman of the 10th Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
Faced with the severe damage caused by floods to people in the Central and Central Highlands provinces, the Chinese Government has sent 500,000 USD through the Chinese Embassy in Vietnam to the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to support overcoming the consequences of natural disasters and floods in Vietnam.
Ambassador Ha Vi affirmed that although this amount of money is not large, it shows the sentiments of the Chinese people to the Vietnamese people, with the desire to contribute to "sharing the joys and sorrows", helping the Vietnamese people overcome the difficulties of storms and floods.
Ambassador Ha Vi mentioned the historic visit of General Secretary and President Xi Jinping to Vietnam in April 2025 and affirmed that the visit further strengthened the friendship between the two Parties and States of China and Vietnam.
According to Ambassador Ha Vi, along with high-level delegation exchanges, recently, many Chinese enterprises have come to Vietnam to seek investment cooperation opportunities, focusing on the fields of high technology science and artificial intelligence development - this is becoming a trend.
Many large-scale cooperation projects between the two countries are being implemented such as: Hanoi - Lao Cai - Hai Phong railway; the Vietnam - China Friendship Palace project is continuing to be repaired; cultural exchange activities between the two countries are being actively implemented, typically the implementation of the "Red Journey of Youth Research and Study" in China with the participation of 1,000 Vietnamese delegates who are young cadres, young artists, young workers and typical rural youth.
This is an important foreign activity, contributing to enhancing understanding, fostering ideals and strengthening friendship between the youth of Vietnam and China.
Within the framework of cooperation between the two countries, with the important role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Ambassador Ha Vi hopes that Chairwoman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Bui Thi Minh Hoai will continue to closely coordinate with the Embassy and the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference to strengthen the relationship between the two countries, especially in the field of humanistic exchange.
President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Bui Thi Minh Hoai expressed her sincere thanks to the Party, State and people of China for their deep concern for the Vietnamese people during this difficult time due to the consequences of natural disasters and floods.
Emphasizing that the 500,000 USD aid given by Ambassador Ha Vi is truly a very meaningful gift, not only an important material support to help the Vietnamese people overcome difficulties and stabilize their lives, but also a word of encouragement and sharing from the Party, State and people of China towards the Vietnamese people. That is a manifestation of the solidarity and friendship that has been cultivated by President Ho Chi Minh and Chairman Mao Zedong.
President Bui Thi Minh Hoai stated that over the past time, the relationship between the two Parties and the two countries has maintained a strong and positive momentum of development. The exchange of high-ranking delegations between the two Parties and the two countries has been enhanced, especially the bilateral visits of General Secretary and President To Lam (August 2024) and General Secretary and President Xi Jinping (April 2025), as well as high-level contacts in late August and early September 2025 when, for the first time in history, three key leaders of the two sides visited and attended activities commemorating important multilateral events in each country.
Emphasizing the activities of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference in recent times, Chairwoman Bui Thi Minh Hoai said that the two sides have always maintained high-level delegation exchanges and coordinated the organization of experience-sharing workshops and people-to-people exchange activities, notably the Friendship Exchange Program between the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and the Fatherland Front - People's Political Consultative Conference of the border provinces/autonomous regions of the two countries held in 2019, 2023 and April 2025.
