(Chinhphu.vn) - On the evening of December 6, in Hanoi, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism held the "Happy Vietnam 2025" Human Rights Media Awards Ceremony to honor the most inspiring photo and video works about happiness in Vietnam.

Attending the award ceremony were Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh, Minister of Science and Technology Nguyen Manh Hung, Permanent Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Le Hai Binh, along with the winning authors, groups of authors and a large audience at Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square ( Hanoi ).

The annual media award on human rights with the theme: "Happy Vietnam - Happy Vietnam 2025" is organized with the goal of mobilizing the participation of the people in the country, overseas Vietnamese and international friends in creating photos, videos or having creative ideas, telling good stories, meaningful discoveries on the topic "Happy Vietnam", thereby contributing to spreading positive images of the country and people of Vietnam...

At the same time, the award also contributes to promoting and spreading the nation's precious cultural and historical traditions and the country's socio-economic development achievements to a wide audience at home and abroad, contributing to enhancing the country's prestige and position in the international arena.

In 2025, Vietnam will move up 8 places compared to 2024 and 19 places compared to 2023, ranking 46th in the world in terms of happiness index. This is a milestone showing the international community's recognition of Vietnam's policies, achievements and efforts to ensure human rights in recent years.

Through the Award, the Organizing Committee wants to convey the message that Vietnam is moving rapidly and developing strongly and comprehensively in all fields: Breakthrough in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation; international integration in the new situation; innovation in law-making and enforcement; rapid, sustainable, effective and high-quality private economic development.

The works participating in “Happy Vietnam - Happy Vietnam 2025” focus on introducing and promoting the image of the country, the people of Vietnam, the cultural and natural values ​​across the country. Thereby, arousing national pride and aspiration for development in all classes of Vietnamese people to join hands to build an increasingly prosperous, prosperous and happy Vietnam.

Speaking at the event, Permanent Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Le Hai Binh said that after 3 years of organization, “Happy Vietnam” has developed and grown to a national scale with more than 40,000 works. The award has reached international level. Nearly 100 Vietnamese representative agencies abroad have used the works of “Happy Vietnam” to promote and spread the message of a prosperous, strong and humane Vietnam to friends and partners.

In 2025, “Happy Vietnam” received 17,000 entries. Each entry is a slice of happiness about life, people, and images of Vietnam. All combine to create a vivid picture, demonstrating a Vietnam that is rising strongly.

“Happy Vietnam 2025” brings together authors from different regions, but with a common goal of conveying and spreading Vietnam’s happiness to the world. This is not just a contest but a festival for those who want to express happiness. Not just a contest, “Happy Vietnam 2025” is also a place for the Vietnamese community to spread and share pride and happiness,” said the Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

At the award ceremony, the Organizing Committee honored the authors and groups of authors in two categories: Photo and Video. In each category, 1 First Prize, 2 Second Prizes, 3 Third Prizes, 10 Encouragement Prizes, and 1 Most Voted Work Prize were awarded.

In addition, the Organizing Committee encourages and awards a creative prize in each category (photo and video) for works with new ideas, creativity in content and form of expression.

First Prize in the Photo category was awarded to the work “The Era of Rising” by author Pham Ngoc Long Thien. First Prize in the Video category was awarded to the work “Happy Smiles” by author Luu Minh Khuong.
