Immigration procedures were carried out smoothly, along with the activation of the SEA Games card – an important document to access the competition, training and accommodation areas. The reception work was carried out smoothly by the host side, creating conditions for the Vietnamese delegation to quickly settle down.
After the reception, the whole delegation was quickly taken to the accommodation as planned by the Organizing Committee, ready to enter the final preparation stage before stepping into the competition ring.
According to the schedule, the flag-raising ceremony of the Vietnamese Sports Delegation in Bangkok will take place on the afternoon of December 8 at Hua Mark Indoor Stadium. This is a solemn ceremony marking the official presence of Vietnam at the Games, while strengthening solidarity among 11 Southeast Asian countries.
For the troops stationed in Chonburi, the second flag-raising ceremony is scheduled to be held on December 11 at Wyndham Jomtien.
The 33rd SEA Games is considered an important event for Vietnamese Sports. With a force of more than 1,100 members, including 842 athletes, the Vietnamese Sports Delegation aims to compete impressively in 47/66 sports and 443 sets of medals.
With the trust and expectation of fans, it is hoped that with the attention of the Party and State leaders and the careful preparation of the teams, Vietnamese Sports will overcome difficulties and challenges to successfully complete the tasks at the upcoming tough SEA Games. The first activities in Thailand have gone smoothly, creating a favorable start for the journey ahead.
