“The Demon Prince” revolves around Than Duc (Anh Tu Atus) - a prince born through witchcraft. Escaping from the forbidden palace, Than Duc ambitiously frees the Crazy Bone Demon from the Human Eye Pass to restore the Crazy Bone Religion. To carry out his plan, Than Duc disguises himself as a gentle herbalist, wanting to cure and save people, and sets out for the Leper Village and encounters the powerful village chief Lo Dat (Luong The Thanh).
After its release, the film received positive feedback thanks to its polished visuals, realistic effects, and quality sound. The fact that it did not overuse the usual jump scare methods but instead created a horror atmosphere based on the gloomy, cold setting of the Leper Village was a plus.
The cast’s performances were also considered appropriate for their roles, with beautiful, natural costumes. Thanks to that, “The Demon Prince” quickly sold more than 160,000 tickets, earning 14.2 billion VND and holding the top spot for Vietnamese movies of the weekend.
Meanwhile, the top 1 foreign film belongs to “Zootopia 2”. The film’s revenue continued to increase sharply compared to last week, earning more than 59.1 billion VND, bringing the current total revenue to 138 billion - ranking 3rd in the most popular animated films of 2025 in Vietnam. In the world , the film also earned approximately 1 billion USD globally.
“Zootopia 2” marks the return of the fox “partners” Nick Wilde and rabbit Judy Hopps after nearly a decade of absence. This time, both have been promoted to full-time officers, but face a difficult mission, thereby uncovering the secret of the long-standing Lynxley family diary.
The movie “The Search for Ambergris” maintains the number 3 spot at the box office with over 6.7 billion. The total revenue of the movie is currently 194.6 billion. Although the start was not explosive, thanks to the content and good acting, the movie had a strong breakthrough. According to experts, the movie can reach the 200 billion milestone in the near future.
This week, the box office will have two Vietnamese works released: the animated film “My Brother is a Dinosaur” and the film “Generation of Miracles”, promising to bring a breath of fresh air to the audience.
